LeBron actually made the right decision...Reasons inside!!!

again, out of left field. Equating championships with how much money is being spent on BUYING players instead of what the reality is. With the EXCEPTION of Shaquille O'Neal, most of the "superstar" players that are vying for CHAMPIONSHIPS are players who were DRAFTED or acquired in trades. NOT HIGH PRICED, HIGH PROFILED FREE AGENTS. All this going after the big budget free agents does is perhaps raise the profile of the team, but it does NOTHING to get them closer to a title. Just look at the title winning teams:

Lakers III: Kobe Bryant, Pao Gasol (TRADES)
Spurs: Tim Duncan, Tony Parker (DRAFT PICKS)
Pistons: Rick Hamilton (DRAFT), Chauncey Billips (TRADE), Ben Wallace (TRADE), Tayshaun Prince (DRAFT)
Lakers II: Have already acknowledged O'Neal was bought with money
Miami: Again Shaq with cash, but WADE WAS A DRAFT PICK, Haslem (DRAFT)
Bulls: Jordan, Pippen (DRAFT)
Rockets: Olajawon (DRAFT), Otis Thorpe (TRADE), Kenny Smith (TRADE), Sam Cassell (DRAFT), Robert Horry (DRAFT)

Of course, once the drafted players DO win their championships and thus establish their stardom, then they will get MORE MONEY from whatever teams they play for. BUT THAT IS BEYOND THE POINT OF MY ORIGINAL STATEMENT. Most were not high priced free agents when they won their titles!! But young, HUNGRY, up and coming veteran players

I could keep going back in time with more champions, but why bother?? Ain't got time for all that. Believe what you want, I think I made my point...People gonna hear what they want, that's been proven over and over again....to keep talking about the same shit over and over again but expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

Fucka outta here with that bullshit manipulation of the data. You used west as an example and he played with the ORIGINAL 3 headed monster. Wilt, West and Baylor >>>>>>>>> Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. Wilt was still the most dominant big man in the game.

Wilt was at the end of his career is the point that you fail to realize...that's when MOST stars throw it in and try to get a championship (Barkley, Drexler).
You wanna stay on some silly ass non-point from 41+years ago that has nothing to do with the price of tea in china.

Lebron did the smart thing. Chicago was another option but he choose the BETTER star (wade over Rose).

If he really cared about winning, Miami was the best choice. Those cats have a chance to make history down there... when you have a chance at history..You take it....especially after wasting your first 7 years playing with bums.

With these two comments, I can see you were a nigga that was a drum major...a tuba player...debate king...or some shit like that.

The nigga could win in Chicago and have his own legacy intact. Say "LEGACY" slowly. When you have titled yourself "The King" you don't follow..you lead. This whole idea is lost on you...apparently.

Furthermore, let's not act like the Cavs weren't a good team...IN THE REGULAR SEASON, because they were. They had the best record in each of the past two seasons. It was the ledership, or lack thereof, shown by "The Peasant" that ALWAYS had one bettering against the Cavs.

They didn't lose because Wet was fucking his mother...Lebron didn't have the heart to stand up to the Celtics...but Kobe did.

Are you 10 years old. It doesnt matter. You used WEST as your example. Are you that got-damn dense...seriously... You cant even make sense of your own argument....really...think about it.. west wasnt....and Wilt joining him, when wilt was still the most dominant big man in the game, is not a knock on West...

You dont even understand your own jibberish...

I can see you are just a simple-minded ass nigga. Lebron is 25 years old and has a clause in his contact where he can leave after 4 years. You simple minded ass nigga, dont you realize can STILL leave and win a title under different circumstances.

You are also a simple-minded ass nigga that thinks regular season success equates an NBA Championship Caliber team by default. The NBA is an entirely different game in the playoffs..especially deep in the playoffs.

The Cleveland Cavs over the past 4 years, last two included, have not had a positive record against the top 4 teams in the league.

If you werent such a simple-minded ass nigga, you would know that with the exception of the 2004 Pistons, there hasnt been a team in the last 3 decades that have won a title without at least two all stars (most often two superstars and future hall of famers) and a hall of fame coach.

The cavs had nothing but one superstar.

Fucka outta here with this simple-minded ass clown talk.

Maybe your simple-minded ass was caught up 60 win seasons (and maybe even thought in previous seasons the phoenix suns were titles contenders) but anyone with a half a damn brain knows those Cavs teams were not built for titles and didnt match up well against the Top teams in the league. They feasted on a watered down league but struggled against teams like the Lakers, Orlando, and Boston (when healthy) that were not only much more talented but better coached....the fact that he was even able to get those fucking bums to the Finals once only signifies how great of a player Lebron is...that he was even able to challenge when his next best player was Mo Williams.

Ask Kobe how it goes when you dont have adequate help...he was missing the playoffs or getting bumped out in the first round every season.

there's 1 thing for certain that all these threads prove:

that most of the people discussing sports in america have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what the definition of "legacy" is.

lebron james made a decision about the direction of his professional future, but BGOL (and the blogosphere) is up in arms about how this man chooses to earn his living? what's next? public approval for where he puts his dick?

putting 3 skilled players together is a guarantee of nothing, even assuming perfect health.

as a fan of the sport and player development, i would like to see all 3 of them play together in the 2010 fiba world championships to develop greater rapport and chemistry.

if they decide to play, fans can check them out together in las vegas next week.

Nope. It's his nickname. Karl Malone never took one bill to anyone's address in the entire state of Utah and Julius Erving hadn't performed so much as a physical.

It's a Self-imposed nickname. And stop being so literal. The Mailman for the most part delivered and Doc had the remedy to both losing and boring games.

LeBron don't rule shit anymore.
