Thinking of taking better care for my hair. What are your views on leave-in conditioners?

Leave in conditioners are basically for more moisture. A shield, in a way, to protect your hair from the styling. It also helps keep tangles down.
I use a l.i.c. some days. Its not completely necessary for my hair. But when I do use one, I use Giovanni Direct Leave in..but you can also use a little of your regular rinse-out conditioner as your leave in.
