Landlord hit with ‘lewd’ suit
A Brooklyn woman claims she’s getting the boot because she wouldn’t give the landlord any booty.
Sheretha Keaton, 55, claims she and her daughter are about to be evicted from their Crescent Street apartment because they repeatedly refused landlord Andrew Uwa’s sexual advances.
Keaton claims Uwa, 52, has been propositioning her since she moved into the three-bedroom in 2005.
“It started from Day 1, but I ignored it because I needed a place to live,” Keaton said. “Every time he’d come by, he’d have something to say.”
Uwa asked Keaton when she was cooking him dinner, called her repeatedly, commented on her looks and asked her to go to bed with him, she claims.
Uwa cursed Keaton and her 24-year-old daughter, Lakwanza Freeman, and refused to do repairs when his lewd requests were rejected, Keaton alleges in a $15 million Brooklyn federal-court lawsuit.
She said she reported the harassment to police but claims nothing was done.
“It’s not that easy to relocate, said Keaton, who gets Section 8 housing benefits that pay $701 of her monthly $1,350 rent.
“I don’t have money to move just like that,” Keaton said.
Uwa could not be reached for comment, but his wife, Denise, laughed and shook her head when asked about the salacious charges.
“I don’t know why they won’t just get out of our house,” she said. “Whenever she called, we responded.”

I doubt it. She is 52. The landlord can certainly do better. Section 8 people shouldn't make too many demands. Just give up the a@@ and move on.
