Ladies, when is it time to give up the club?

About two months ago, I was hanging out at a local club, and bopping to some Mary J (JUST FINE...WHOO!), when a familiar voice says, "HEY...you work at my daughter's school!" I turned around and saw the mother of one of my clients there. Now, I can easily say this woman is, hmmm, early 30s... I wasn't taken aback because of the fact that she is a mother (mothers gotta dance and get their groove on too!), but it was her age that startled me.

I've heard advertisements for "Dirty 30" nights at clubs and clubs that'll have 30+ preferred guest lists. Do you support 30+ clubs, or do you think it's time to hang up the club heels? Is there a set age by which you automatically become the old lady at the club or is it always a great place to hang, regardless of age, with girlfriends and get your groove on?
 
I guess it would depend on one's mindset Jo. I am no a "clubber" and at my age really it doesn't appeal to me. If the club caters to the age group then there should be no reason why us old people shouldn't be getting out there and doing our thing right. You know before the arthritis kicks in ;)

tricky question. i know i've seen some older women at the club who were comfortable enough with themselves to not care what anyone else thought, and were just out having a good time. I've also seen older women who were DOING TOO MUCH. trying to dress and act young, but really coming off as desperate, and attention whorish. i figure it's cool to kick it with your friends from time to time, but i guess if you're older and have to be at the club every weekend, you might be be going through a mid-life crisis. i'm only 30 and i don't have the desire to be up in the club, like i did when i was younger. all that riggamarrow of people frontin' and carrying on gets tired.

personally i think u are never to old to go out...have a few drinks...maybe dance a little bit

but it make no sense whatsoever for someone in thier 30s to be in an 18 and up club

they got grown and sexy clubs/lounges

just get in where u fit in
 
I think its time to stop going when you no longer enjoy it. I have zero tolerance for your regular average club any longer. Have been over it for a long time. However the fact that I was a dj for years adds to my distaste for it. However, I LOVE to go to jazz or other good live music or even a good lounge sometimes. I also religiously attend the old school hip hop jams in the parks and the free concerts. I will never stop.

But hardly any females respond. :rolleyes: Anyway . . . difference between the, " Club ", and a Night club.

It's great to go the club . . . if you go for a fun purpose . . .

But I hesitate to go to sometimes. I am a chronic misplacer of Cellphones in the club. :angry::angry:

I do that shit at least 3 times a year, lose a cell in a club.

When you walk in and immediately feel like you're the oldest person there. Or when you are in there doing the bump, and everybody else is neenabopping and pool palacing :smh:
 
I am 32 I dont do clubs because I am a homeody...But that is about to change. I am planning on going out next weekend...
 
If you feel like you need to be "seen" your ass is too old for a club. This is young kiddy type shit.

If you genuinely want to go out and have a good time, then you are still good to go.

I don't go out. I would do the bar lounge thing, but the "club" in it's traditional sense is somewhere I feel is too young for my ass to be hanging out.

I'm 34.

If you the oldest person there then you in the wrong club, might wanna try a lounge or bar type of place.

I am a young guy but I wanna know where all the older women goin to the club at. I can do the old man 2 step, learned it from an uncle of mine

Not old, just seasoned. LOL...I am just messing with you. I cant get into a 30 and up club cuz I aint 30. I do like jazz clubs and comedy shows tho, there is a blues bar I have been hittin lately. I was with an older woman before and she got me hooked, still tryin to find another one.​
