I've met people casually online several times- many good experiences, only one mediocre one. I don't give it much thought more or less whether its online or the Borders.
I was discussing this with my mom recently and she's dead set against it and I told her I've met crazier people in the club or on a set-up date than online.
Pretty much EVERYBODY is crazy until proven otherwise no matter where you meet. That's just common sense.

I met my boo online and it has been the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I met my husband online...He was in Iraq and i was in England...we met online feb 06 hooked up March 07 and married Aug 07...crazy I know...

Congrats... you are one of the lucky ones. I've done the on line dating thing several times but all i found were cheats and liars.
Meeting men and dating online is no different from meeting men on the street. There are liars and cheaters everywhere. The men on line are just members of society just like the men in the grocery store. Whenever (or wherever) you meet someone, you always run the risk of encountering a loser.

One thing I did before meeting him (I found out he did this to me too) was look up his police record. You can find out alot about a person with just a few clicks of your mouse.
