There main job is too provide security so that the police and put all their focus on controlling the public.
Historically, when Americans see National Guard, they don’t interact with them cuz the General Public has respect for the military.
Law enforcement is another thing. Majority of the General Public hate law enforcement and will use any opportunity to engage/fight with them.
The LAPD has stated they have everything under control, the Corporate News Media is making it seem like it’s Armageddon in LA.
