LA model fears for her life after 2 other models found dead in luxury apartments

A Los Angeles-based model is fearing for her life following the mysterious deaths of two other models in their apartments, including one in her own luxury building.
Brittany Mason, a fashion and beauty product model and content creator, told KTLA she doesn’t feel safe after the bodies of Nichole “Nikki” Coats, 32, and Maleesa Mooney, 31, were discovered just two days apart.
Mason, 26, claims several models — including herself — live in the luxury apartments at Skye at Bunker Hill in Downtown Los Angeles, the same building where Mooney, a model and real estate agent, was found dead on Sept. 12.
She says she first became fearful when after seeing different men entering and leaving her neighbor’s apartment.
“Initially, the unit across from me — people were subleasing it — so I was seeing different people coming in and out every day and the other thing was, at one point, people were having big parties and there were tons of men coming through here,” Mason told KTLA.
Along with the different visitors to her neighbor’s unit, Mason says she has seen people sleeping in the stairwells.
“Honestly, I don’t feel safe and I shouldn’t be forced to live here if I don’t feel safe,” she said. “I don’t think that’s okay.”

The model’s problems worsened after her request to cancel her lease was denied.
Mason’s lease has several months remaining and the apartment management won’t let her out of it without incurring a penalty fee, as information from them has been “sparse” or “non-existent,” she told the outlet.
Police are looking into Coats’ death as a “death investigation” and not a homicide like Mooney’s case even though her father and aunt found her lifeless body in bed in a contorted position.

“She was only wearing her panties and one of her arms was outstretched,” Guy Coats told The Post. “I couldn’t look too long and had to turn away, but I saw her fingers were starting to blacken on the tips.”
She also had bruises on her forehead and lower lip along with her face which had swollen up to the point she had to be identified through her tattoos.
Mooney, the younger sister of Guyanese pop-star Jourdin Pauline, was found after a wellness check by the LAPD.
“My heart is crushed I can’t believe you won’t be here with us anymore. you were so loving and so kind to everyone … this is so sick I can’t believe my baby big sister is gone!!!!!” Pauline said on Instagram.

“How is this even possible you won’t be here we was supposed to grow old together and have babies and cook off wars (you’re the best chef ever). this feels so surreal I keep waking up crying thinking I’m in a bad dream. we will get justice for you my sister. I promise you won’t be gone in vain!!!
The buildings where Coats and Mooney lived are approximately three miles away from each other, and given their ages and occupations, people started to raise concerns over a possible link between the two deaths, but those rumors were quickly dispelled by the LAPD.
“Based on the investigations thus far, there is no evidence to suggest that the deaths of Ms. Coats and Ms. Mooney are related to one another,” the LAPD said in a press release last week.

“This is senseless and I want some answers because my daughter is gone,” Sharon Coats, Nikki’s mother said. “And it’s not fair. I want everybody to find out who did this to her. She shouldn’t be gone.”
