Kobe playing hurt tonight

Does this hurt the Lakers chances of winning game 5. I say yes. The best way for him to help the team tonight is to be a facilitator but that means relying on gasol and vlad to step up and play well which they haven't done. lock up fisher or get him in foul trouble with the way farmar is playing and utah has a very good chance to win this game because that sore back will greatly affect kobe's ability to score

if lakers wanna win, they need kobe to play...SMART stop throwin up 3's with 2 opponents in your face and a hurt ass back.

what was the official release on the nature of the injury?

tobe showed that he could still spot up and shoot through much of G4, so i don't think it will be that much of a problem. especially since it was 2 days ago and he's been undergoing regular treatment for it.

you gotta remember that utah is a HORRIBLE road team, and the 7th worst team in the worstern conference playoffs. (no, i didn't write SEED, i wrote 7th worst, with denver being 8th worst).

if the fakers protect the ball and get into transition, it's lights out for the jazz tonight. tobe or no tobe.

If he is hurt that bad, get a little physical with him. I mean the Jazz should have no problem with that.

But they are setting up to make him look like Christ coming back from the dead if they win this game.

i def agree he should be strictly a facilitator , since everyone screaming jordanesque here is his closest chance

playing hurt

I believe he said it was sore but felt better than yesterday and that he was "ready to go"

i just read in the LA Times that it was back spasms, and had to let out a chuckle.

back spasms can be painful, and are definitely uncomfortable, but i was under the impression it was something worse, like a bulging disc.

a 2 day old back spasm that hasn't been a recurring condition is not worth mentioning.

game on, and let the best team win.

p.s. i hope he comes out blazing in Q1 from the perimeter. but that's probably wishful thinking. i think the more realistic scenario is tobe doing his typical OC jump towards the basket, followed by the mid-air shriek, and eventual early foul trouble on the road for andrei kirilenko.

tobe's still obviously feeling uncomfortable, but fakers fans should be happy that he aborted his chucking mission in Q1.

Hey man...this game might go into OT :hmm:

edit..that should do it... the jazz can't get the defensive rebounds they need...
