I don't know many women who take kick boxing, any body here (or at least somewhat interested in it) do, or do yourself? Be it on video or actual classes, doesn't matter. Even if you're not into competition, or just self defense, its a good work out too  I'm just not into tae bo videos.

Thats gonna be me in a few years :D

i take a kickboxing class - the first one i went to was kinda bullshit - just a bunch of old and fat women kicking a bag with no kinda technique - the instructor didn't show them how to use the bag or to fight - they'd just like ok kick! class had me crackin' up.

the new class i'm taking is kicking my ass. My instructor is strict and keeps us disciplined - everybody in the class is serious and the bodies are bangin'

I lost 20 lbs in a month. (size 12 to a size 8)

if you're thinking about taking one i recommend it. In addition to it though I'd take a strength training or a sculpting class - kickboxing is a lot of cardio - tones you up - but i noticed when I started lifting in addition to it a few times a week i dropped weight faster and my whole body build changed.

@ your first class. I don't know if strength training/sculpting class will be necessary for me, I'm a gymnast so I've got a lot on my shoulders (no pun intended).

I wanted to try pilates or kickboxing but think I'm starting too late to get my summer body :smh:...
but with temps in the 50s in Cleveland, I just might be able to pull it off in time for labor day.

Girl you should do it. I used to laugh at women who did Pilates until I went to a try-out class. I sweat more doing that than using weights. It's addictive. You get fast results too, especially to your tummy. You're never too late, you've got 1 month!

I agree with pilates. That is HARD!

Kickboxing kicked my ass. I'm really into spin class now, but when I took it I was always in pain afterwards. But my abs, arms, legs loved it.
I should get back into it!

you had me at "especially to your tummy". you had me... right there girl :wepraise:

@ Leroy: I never bulk up. I don't think women should look like that. The point is to keep away bye bye arm and tummy fat. It's hard though :(

I just started yoga and I'm loving that - but I always wanted to try kickboxing. If anybody knows of a good place in the A (eastside preferably) please PM :) Thanks...
