Unified world title holder Amir Khan has blasted Timothy Bradley’s recent offer of a 50/50 split for a potential unification fight in 2012, and told the WBO light welterweight champion to be more realistic in his negotiations if he ever wants to meet him in the ring.

The 24-year-old has turned to social networking site Twitter for what he called his ‘rant’ after Bradley publicly offered the deal if both fighters come through their final fights of 2011. Bradley defends his title against Joel Casamayor on the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez undercard on November 12, while Khan faces Lamont Peterson in December.

The two boxers were attempting to make a deal several months ago but their negotiations fell through. After Khan offered a 50/50 split of the money, and a even portion of the UK pay-per-view revenue - Bradley walked away from the table. A furious Khan promised to make him regret that decision in the future.

“It took Bradley six months to find his voice after calling me out and agreeing to a fight with me and now he is asking for a 50/50 split,” stated Khan. “He had his chance for a 50/50 split offer, including the UK income, and I am going to stick to my words - he’s never gonna get that offer again."

“Bradley denied me the chance to become undisputed champion and I am [going to] make him regret it. He needs me now, I am the bigger draw. I am the cash cow at 140. All he is worth is 70/30 with no UK (pay-per-view) split. I am sure he will be crying himself to sleep.”

Funny. So now he doesn't want to fight Timmy. These guys crack me up.

... And this is why MMA is taking fans away from boxing... Because fighters in MMA who are suppose to fight each other... FIGHT EACH OTHER...

In Boxing though, MU'FUCKAS STAY BULLSHITTING... That's why boxing is on a DECLINE...
:smh:

How about you create a MMA thread with that shit cause I see more shit about MMA in boxing threads than I see threads about MMA on their own...

Khan's reaction to Timmy's offer:

:roflmao3: :roflmao3: :roflmao3:

There's no way that the fight is going to jump off now, especially with Fo' Head signing with Top (P)Rank...He could have rolled with Don King or DiBella (I hate that dude too) and would have had a better chance of pulling off the fight...

If Timmy really wanted the fight, then he would have taken that 50/50 split regardless of his issues with Shaw...Just get the fight done and then roll out afterwards...

Damn we read two different articles

That's cause you always need Merce to explain which way is up first.

(An offer that basically blasted Timmy for not accepting when dude was trying to leave his promoter. A deal that he didn't want his promoter to take a penny from the purse. If the deal was fair when Timmy wasn't trying to make a deal cause of his promotion issues. How is the deal bad now that he has that issue taken care of now?

Because if he wants the fight the original terms were requested by Timmy.)

It looks more like Khan is running to me.

You're right... I get shit so wrong that I need someone to explain boxing to me. I think I have real opinions because most people don't agree with me and I can't even explain my opinion when people ask me about it. Also, I get schooled so bad because of my dumb ass statements that I run away from threads and act as if the shit doesn't happen. Plus, I constantly contradict myself... its to the point that people are tried of even pointing the shit out because I either play dumb or I am dumb... I also suck at reading comprehension so maybe I do need to have people explain which way is up to me..... wait... all of that applies to you, not me.

Because he could have easily made the negotiation to fight Khan priority as soon as he moved to Top Rank. He could have easily agreed to fight and asked for a tune up as a part of the deal... not the other way around were he takes a tune up, see what is happening with a possible Pac fight and then get back to Khan when he knows he has no respectable options. Also it's not Khan's problem that Bradley didn't like his promoter. Let's stop the bullshit though... We all can see he wanted to bypass Khan and just fight Pac so he took a fight that he shouldn't lose instead of a fight he could lose.

(Once again if Khan wants to make the fight. Why not make him regret it in the ring?)
Funny... I asked that same question about Manny ducking Floyd and you took the opposite position. I will say the main difference is Khan put it on the table and Bradley ran away from negotiations. Khan doesn't have to chase that motherfucker because Bradley needs Khan more than Khan needs Bradley and Khan didn't fuck up the first deal. See how my position doesn't contradict things I've said in the past. There is a little nuance to my answer, but I hope you can keep up.

(Him saying 70/30 means to me he doesn't want the fight. Because if he wants the fight the original terms were requested by Timmy.)
Why does Bradley deserve a 50/50 split in the first place? Why does he deserve it after ducking Khan? More important... why is it so hard for you to see when these boxing dudes are talking big shit to each other its to make the other guy look bad and force a reaction?

It looks more like Khan is running to me.

Funny, cause I read it as a big "fuck you, for ducking me to fight a washed up guy.... when you get some balls... things will be on my terms."

Khan is fucking right too. I'm not even a Khan fan, but he is taking respectable fights and proving himself while Bradley is fighting Casamayor. Khan may not be the biggest draw, yet... but Bradley can't draw stick people. It makes no sense to do a 50/50 split after you already put it on the table, dude declines to fight an old man who was on his last leg like 3-4 years ago and he really had nothing to offer anyway.

Even if he is just talking shit as I mainly suspect, he probably thinks a battery needs to be put in Bradley's back to cut out the dumb shit.

Amir Khan: I Might Stay at 140 For a Tim Bradley Fight
Posted by: Ryan Burton on 11/3/2011 .

After Amir Khan defeated Marcos Maidana this past December and Tim Bradley beat Devon Alexander in January, the two fighters appeared to be on a July collision course to establish junior welterweight supremacy. The fight ultimately didn't happen when Bradley elected to sit out the remainder of his promotional contract with Gary Shaw.

Khan said that he still wanted to face Bradley on his December 10th HBO date after Bradley signed a promotional deal with Top Rank. However, Bradley's new promotional company had other plansr and the Palm Springs, California resident will defend his WBO title versus Joel Casamayor on November 12th, as part of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez undercard in Las Vegas.

Khan said that he did everything possible to secure the fight with Bradley and while appearing on The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com's official audio show, he broke down the offer that his team made to Bradley.

"I was desperate to fight Tim Bradley. We offered him 50-50 for the fight. Even with the UK money. I wanted to fight him when he was on top of his game and he had two belts. I wanted to be the undisputed champion," Khan told the Boxing Lab.

Khan went on to say that he is still planning on moving up to welterweight after he faces Lamont Peterson next month in Washington DC. He did however leave the door open for the possibility of postponing his welterweight move if a fight with Bradley still made sense.

"First I want to get this fight out of the way with Peterson. If it makes sense then I will stay at 140 for Bradley before moving up to 147. If the fight is a big fight, why not?" Said Khan.

Bradley can't draw stick people.

Stick people yo :roflmao3: :roflmao3: :roflmao3:

Like I said before, Bradley had his chance to make that fight possible on two separate occasions: Right after his fight with Alexander and now, when he signed with Top (P)Rank. Instead, he comes up with excuses...

Khan was being EXTRA generous with this 2nd offer, because in promotional terms he (and his crew) knew that it would be a lot better to have the fight in England where it would easily sell out and bring in more worldwide attention. Why have it in the states against a guy that could barely bring in ANYONE against Devon in Detroit...and that was a unification fight.

To top it off, if Timmy really wanted another challenge at 140, then he could have fought Maidana...
