Ex-middleweight champ appears to be on downward spiral
According to the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator, ex-world middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik was arrested last night for leaving the scene of an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) accident in Canfield, Ohio. The police report says Pavlik and a buddy named Daniel Ferrerri crashed two ATV's, causing damage to someone else's property, and that, when questioned, Pavlik reeked of alcohol and refused a sobriety test. Pavlik also had a cut on the back of his head. The troubled ex-champion has a court appearance scheduled for tomorrow. Pavlik, who surrendered the world middleweight championship to Sergio Martinez, has had his struggles with alcohol abuse well documented.
