Sci-Fi is hit or miss with a lot of people, kinda like rom-coms. :lol: I'm a big science/space nerd, so Mutherfuckers like me will love it. It's a cerebral flick, so there's concepts there for the thinking crowd. There's a large central theme parents or caring people can relate to.

Terrible review. Did you see in on a regular screen, in imax, or 3d? How was the score? Compared to Gravity, which movie had a better screenplay? Was there any standout performances?

I'm not a reviewer per se. I'm not gonna rate the score and all that shit. I'm just gonna say if I thought it was dope or not, which it was. When y'all see it, come back and discuss. Gravity sucked to me, damn that was a boring movie. Don't compare the two.

Gravity was a excellently shot movie. Its score was breathtaking, and the majority of the acting was fine. Where they lost me was the script. The story was trite.

I just cant agree that this is a cerebral flick.....a dude is plucked from a gotdayumm cornfield to fly a spaceship into a wormhole to save the planet??? that is a stretch......the only thing remarkable about this film is the budget. when i heard how much the budget for this film was I was like :eek:

I wasn't expecting the movie to be 100% realistic but there were alot of time I was thinking that's some bullshit right there. Especially when she ran out oxygen yet somehow found found energy to be moving around even faster than before her air ran out

Read a few posts and I am bailing before some asshole ruins the movie. And gravity was an okay movie. Just okay.

Seeing this Saturday at a real IMAX theater. Not that cornball converted shit at AMC.

the flick was good..not a masterpiece but good..if you liked inception then youll like interstellar..

now the nitpicks..

the ONLY black guy on the team GOT to die right:rolleyes:..when I saw they killed off the white dude on the water planet I KNEW the brotha days were numbered..

How come saving humanity means white people saving white people and the lone non white person?

It would be kind of 'three's company' if he survived though, right? Everyone on that team except the main stars died...why would you remark on the race, rather than there actually BEING a black actor cast in a supporting role in a major motion picture?


What would you have done differently? Killed mcconaughey's character instead? I'm legitimately curious how you would have the story play out.

so what..the story focuses on mcconaughey and his daughter you can stay with that without having to kill everyone off ten little indian style. I mean the whole wormhole/blackhole travel is pretty much a one way trip and while I'm not against killing somebody off I don't think its necessary to kill everyone off just to artificially hype up the tension.

and I would have had a more diverse cast..

Hollywood whitewashes movies anyway, and Nolan especially whitewashes his films.

I don't get the whole whitewashing for this film. Go take some engineering classes and see how many black folks are in them. I'm talking top engineering schools like MIT and Ga. Tech.

its not just black folks..its asians and indians as well..for a film of this scale on this kind of subject matter its a glaring omission that there weren't ANY other people of color involved except the token black dude. Murphy could have headed up a TEAM of physicists who were trying to crack the equations rather then just her and the old man:hmm:

The number one export of this country is weapons. If you look at the financial report, it clearly states that hollyood generates a significant portion of its revenue. The propaganda machine is a fine product.

To be fair there was only about 10 characters in the movie period, except the baseball game, and the end.
