Mayweather is contemplating firing his BGOL appointed lawyers some of which are rumored to be a part of the infamous cosign crew. In spite of their extensive knowledge of imagined law, his lawyers erroneously advised him that Pacquiao would never have a case against him, that no judge would ever waste time on a case like this, etc, etc. However:

On advice of his BGOL lawyers, Mayweather attempts to have the case thrown out saying it has no merit. The Judge says "fuck you" or: "Specifically, Pacquiao alleges that defendants, together, conspired to defame him by publicly stating that he used PEDs. These allegations support his claim for malice. Therefore, the court finds that the conspiracy allegations are sufficient within the context of the defamation per se claim and should not be stricken from the amended complaint. "“We may be adding claims to the lawsuit because of additional defamatory statements that the Mayweathers recently made and disseminated,” Marroso said.
“All the defendants tried to have Pacquiao’s case dismissed, claiming that his case had no merit. But the court denied every one of those motions.”
Marroso said they have asked for a trial date “in the near future.”
