One correction for the title

Stewart didn't call FNC viewers the most uninformed, he was saying how they poll consistently as the most uninformed. Saying he said it makes it seem like the opinion of John Stewart and not scientific data acquired repeatedly.

Thanks for the drop. I missed this.

Jon Stewart Slams Fox News For Editing Interview With Chris Wallace (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart opened Monday night's episode of "The Daily Show" by addressing his weekend appearance on "Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace."

After a playful swipe at Huffington Post's "YOU'RE INSANE" headline, Stewart went on to suggest that viewers watch the full, unedited interview online, which is the only place where one can see what Stewart termed, "the takeaway moment of the entire interview." After asking Wallace if he truly believes that Fox News is "exactly the ideological equivalent of NBC News," Wallace responded, "I think we're the counterweight. I think they have a liberal agenda and we tell the other side of the story."

Stewart went on to underline, and mock, the gravity of Wallace's point:
The other side of the story. "We don't tell both sides of the story, we tell one side...the other side, the one we perceive is never told. Because as you know, news only comes in two sides. And if the conservative side isn't being told what's being told must be liberal. Fox News isn't fair and balanced. It's balancing the system, man. Don't you get it? The system's unfair and unbalanced. To balance the system, Fox has to be the purest form of right wing resin. Because of how heavy left wing America is. Hollywood, comedians, every single news organization, the Internet, facts, history, science, it's all just left wing bullshit, man...." Is Fox unbalanced? Yeah. Seriously, their ears are nearly touching the floor. But it's only because the system is unbalanced.
During the segment, Stewart referred to Wallace as "one of the more respected individuals at Fox," while also pointing out that the anchor's statement "basically gives away the game."

Jon Stewart: 'Fox News edited me to seem like a woman having a nervous breakdown'

Jon Stewart wants everyone to know that his Fox News appearance was not the real deal.

The comedian lambasted the network, arguing his Sunday interview with host Chris Wallace was edited to make him look like "a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown."

"I suggest you look at the unedited version online where my emotional states don't seem to change so arbitrarily," he said on his "Daily Show" Monday night.

The Fox interview quickly became heated when Wallace began questioning Stewart about his "liberal" bias.

Stewart fired back at Fox News - claiming it has the "most consistently misinformed" audience.

Stewart said the network edited the moment at which Wallace "basically gives away the game" by describing Fox News as a "counterweight" to NBC News.

"I think that they have a liberal agenda and I think we are the other side of the story," Wallace added in the unedited version.

Stewart insisted throughout the interview that he is solely a comedian, not a political commentator, despite prodding from Wallace to admit the opposite.

"The embarrassment is that I'm given credibility in this world because of the disappointment that the public has in what the news media does," Stewart said.

Fox News personality Bret Baier entered the fray Monday - calling Stewart's perception of Fox News "insane."

"He is a political force and there's no denying it," Baier said on the "Kilmeade and Friends" radio show. "He touches a lot of young people and he wants to be heard on politics but . . . when something goes wrong, he punts to 'I'm a comedian.'"
