Jennifer Lopez, Casper Smart are 'cooling off' amid peep show, exotic massage parlor rumors: reports
Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to the rumor mill, but that doesn't mean the superstar songstress is immune to the effects of the reports on her own relationship.
Just last week, several stories claiming that her much-younger beau Casper Smart, 25, paid a questionable visit to a so-called "exotic massage parlor" and gay porn shop began to surface, and though Lopez immediately fired back, the rumors have started to plant seeds of doubt in the relationship, a source tells E! News.
"They have not split yet, but it's fair to say they are cooling off a bit," the source explained. "The pictures have created a distance between them. Even if Casper is telling the truth, and he didn't mean to walk into the doorway, it just proves how young and immature he is.
"He should have been more careful. he knows he is often being followed by paparazzi."
On July 23, Smart was photographed entering and leaving an adult toy store and lingerie shop. At the time, it was speculated that he was shopping for Lopez's 43rd birthday celebration, to take place the next day aboard a grand yacht.
Smart claimed that he had simply gotten lost and entered the wrong doorway, according to E! News.
The couple's attorney, meanwhile, is taking greater offense to the claims.
"These statements are false, malicious and defamatory," Howard Weitzman and Shawn Holley said in a statement last Wednesday. "Ms. Lopez and Mr. Smart will pursue all remedies available to them under the law."
According to E! News, the lawyers are seeking a complete retraction, and are prepared to file a lawsuit against Star magazine and InTouch Weekly otherwise.

Lopez, meanwhile, is reportedly getting increasingly "frustrated" and "short-tempered" around Smart in the wake of the reports, according to People magazine.
"He's moved into her life - and a little too easily, too," a source told People. "I think her family is watching him closely."
On the flip side of the coin, however, the source points out that Lopez "is the kind of girl who doesn't like to be alone," so until she can find someone to help fill that void, he'll be "around."
