Its a nice sentiment but he's later than the government and earlier than Michael Jackson. At least he admitted that he didn't really do shit but throw money at the situation. To call his confession "brilliant" is fanboyish. Mos Def did the damn thang. Without question, Spike Lee did it, too. He don't know that shit is still fucked up there and in Mississippi to this day and if he did know, he probably would have spoke on THAT rather than speaking in retrospect. I love what jay did, he really did his thing on that track, but hands down I vote Mos Def's number one, he killed it. that shit was on fire.. hov was mad late with this, and mos def's joint was definitely on point, but at least hov is spreading light on the issue still. everyone thinks new orleans is ok now. the saints and the hornets are playing, so on to the next issue. its far from the truth. i got peoples over there that still can't go back to their homes. communities are still suffering over there and any attention given to the situation is good. so props to hov.
