Good point Fam!

I agree in not giving them my money but I still think we should call them on their shit and get other black folks to skip these types of businesses.

This got me thinking back to those sit ins where you had black patrons in the 50s and 60s who wanted to be served in white restaurants who didn't want to. Whites didn't want their money or business.

Why would I give my money to somebody who doesn't want or respect it????

As for that fat black bitch, that's the reason I'm not pro black with every black person I see. Them coons get their foot in the door and support white supremacy; they have no code at all.

So, when fat bitches like that face racism on the job remember this video. There are plenty more blacks who will partake in white supremacy against other blacks until there nigga wake up call comes a knocking

Uh I would not raise my voice like that

And then expect them to serve me food

Once you strongly voice your point in an eating establishment it's time to turn around and go

Especially if the folks preparing the food were involved in the issue...

Rather than protest the store I'd rather go on a buy black campaign

There has to be "black" owned restaurants in atlanta

Is there a black steakhouse alternative?

I get what you're saying but it doesbt apply ubiquitously.

It should be a choice to buy black not a requirement. I agree you shouldn't spend a dime where youre not wanted. At the same time, discrimination is discrimination.

We've got a lot of ATL folks on the board, I would like to hear if they've had similar experience at that restaurant.
I have lived in Atlanta my whole life and I have never been to Houston's. I have no desire to, never have. I didn't even know they were still open, thought they shut down.

Furthermore, Atlanta is a unique city in the way it's black population has thrived, so there is no shortage of black-owned businesses & restaurants.

For all he preaches about building wealth I would expect him to understand the importance of supporting our own

That Houston's is fine. I would dare say that MOST of the people who say there are Black. I would be surprised if that was place has more white patrons than Black. It's literally the hang spot for a lot of folks for business lunches and hangouts. That dude had a bad interaction with a Black woman and went straight to discrimination. If its discrimination then go to the Black owned restaurants RIGHT there, not even 50 yards away. Well, I dunno if Frank Skis place over there is still open. I know Justins was over there and that closed - from lack of support.

I need more. I've been to places where you need a reservation for a party of 7. It was obvious they were trying to circumvent it by saying they will split the group into 2 adjacent tables. After getting loud and making a scene like that, I don't blame the restaurant for refusing service. On Yelp other than that incident, there aren't any other racial complaints. It is hard for me to believe that a Steakhouse in ATL with a black hostess and chef would decide after multiple years of business to just be racist as hell to this dude. Personally I wouldn't be surprised that I couldn't pop up at a Steakhouse with 7 people and no reservation. Finally, instead of doing all of that, why not just support a Black establishment for lunch. He preaches entrepreneurship and in Atlanta. Its not like he didn't have options.

Foh... Its fuckin Houston's at lunch time. Not some white table cloth fine dining establishment. They sound absurd with that bullshit policy. Typically in fast casual spots like that they have a disclosure statement about automatic gratuity for parties 6 and over. A restaurant of that nature flat out refusing parties of over 6 sounds like utter bullshit baked in to give them a pretext to selectively discriminate.

I didn't watch the entire thing. But here's what I saw and what I know from years of corporate travel.

*Businesses want their customers to represent their brand. (Obvious). So any type of confrontation puts you on the fuck you list. He did himself more damage because more whites will eat there knowing they turn away blacks. He helped them increase their profile of a racist place.

*They got loud. You are automatically at a loss when you lose your tenper not to mention your friend as well.

*Ive walked in to many hotels and restaurants in high end districts with a company and been treated like I don't belong there. I've had to call a coworker over to vouch. But I don't overreact because it affects my company overall. I have to consider that white people don't ever see blacks as "on the list" especially to eat for free. Same happens as hotels when we all check-in. I get it. Wrong, but you handle it respectfully. Once you act a fool, a lawyer has his or work cut out for them.

*Hes and clown for no just taking his business elsewhere. They ruined it by recording. Nobody wants to go go viral or be recorded for any reason. You're showing you're going to use the video to damage them or the company. So once you become an amateur camera man you lose any right to respect. I would have let em leave too.

*One should speak for all. Speak one at a time. Even if they sat me, I ain't eating what comes to the table. Fuck-that! Years back a female got greasy with a waitress. I told her not to send the food back and to just order something else. She wanted to complain. The manager came and I embarrassed as fuck. He took her meal off and I paid and tipped the waitress extra and dumped the girl. Act right in public, period.

And he's NOW saying he wouldnt have eaten there anyway and it became about the principle.
Taking it to discrimination when your dealing with a Black person doesn't make any sense.

If you're saying that some Black people act white and generalize about other Black people then you'd have to generalize about her to get to that conclusion - which is the same shit you're accusing her of with no information on her prior history, and a place packed with Black people who are chilling and eating.

So the evidence points to him being a dick. Maybe if he can get all his blind followers out to boycott for that one day he can get someone from their management to.givea shit. Also , the time he is spending trying to boycott them, the amount of effort it would take to be effective at it, he could be out making money to build a competitor right next to em.

Him calling himself and his wife young Malcolm and young Betty is just stupid lol.

I was just SEVERELY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST today at Houston's Restaurant on Lenox Rd. in Atlanta, GA.

After our weekly company meeting I decided to treat some of my team to lunch at the neighboring restaurant to our office, Houston's (Hillstone chain).

After arriving we were told that they can't accommodate parties of 7 (see pictures in my next post).

So we politely stated that we did not have to sit together as a group or have the same server or be on the same bill. We were happy to sit as separate parties of 4 and 3 respectively.

We were then told that that wouldn't be possible and we could not be seated AT ALL.

The hostess was very nasty in her passive-aggressive way and we were denied the ability to sit as equals in this restaurant with other patrons.

You may think I'm being dramatic or "playing the race card" but wait until you see all the proof of parties of 7 who have been seated at this same exact restaurant location.

Coincidentally enough, hip hop star Rick Ross, Waka Flocka's mom Ms. Deb and several other people of color in Houston's reviews have had very similar complaints.

They are picking and choosing who they serve or make exceptions for and it is not for people or groups who look like me!

This is a problem and it will be addressed legally, financially and through our strength.

Stay tuned for updates on what's to come SOON.... We are going to SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!

Mann... The restaurant was in the wrong..... But it's no way in hell I wouldn't have been seated... Yall were loud and polite with you discretions if you gonna play the loud card.... Might as well go LIVE.

Most restaurants have a bar area.... And I was dying to see you guys walk to the bar... I just really wanted to see how the staff would react to that... 4 people seated at the bar area... Not very hard to pull off.

Is that place on 'open table'... Could you have made a reservation right on spot for the 4 people? And the other 3 make their own reservations!?!?

I hope you guys get justice for this.... The staff just seemed bitter that you out witted their Lil dumbass rule!!!! They couldn't stand to see you win...

Everything about how I would have spoken to them would have implied that I could be outside waiting on them when they got off of work if I don't get them two tables... "the choice is yours bitch!"
