mofos be hatin on public school.

Im a product of the North Carolina public education system. K through Ph.d
My story: Our youngest went to a School of Excellence in elementary, a college reparatory school in middle school, and when it was time to go to HS, they wanted to send his class to a gang infested shithole. Nah, not on my watch! We moved out to the sticks to send him to a great high school, and then moved to Macon, Ga. to send him to college. I enrolled with him and we marched together. I understand what you're saying about public schools, but sometimes, that ain't it! If we had to move into an extended stay hotel for my kid's education, We'd have done it a thousand times! My kid has 2 degrees and is a school teacher in S. Korea. That was his dream job. I'm a college grad, and also a product of public schooling and making 84k/year. I did alright. :D

Beautiful woman and mom. Javale was blessed with a great momma. God bless both of them.

She got hella ass for a woman damn near 60. That's a tall glass of vintage water to drink. Yes indeed.

Those private schools dont play. The one close by me makes it mandatory that every student applies and get approved for a college before graduation. I'm sure its so they can have good stats and raise tuition but it's worth it.

He went to Hales and Hales recruited and got mofokrs into that school to play basketball...

What happened to his father, I cant seem to find any info about him.

Big George Montgomery who played for the Fighting Illini is his father.

Big George was drafted in the 80's but never played in the NBA

No doubt. And you’re right. All public schools aren’t created equal. I did have to move from one location to another so my daughter wouldn’t get sent to a subpar elementary school. It was still public though.

You did great.

I'm a product of the NC public education system too, but some of these public schools are run like prisons and I would not want my child attending some of them.

I taught at Carter G. Woodson in Winston-Salem and it was an alternative school that was masked as a charter/private school.

That was the shit that sent me to go to NCAT to get my masters. I couldn’t deal with them kids. My old AA history professor at WSSU recruited me to teach at that school. Talking about it’s private. That nigga half lied to me. Those were them last chance kids that couldn’t attend public school. I wasn’t ready for that shit at 22. Lmaoo

They were trying but those kids came from hard backgrounds. It overwhelmed those kids that were legit good students.

I'ma tell you something new. Don't let your son overstay in that country. At least bring him back, buy a rental, and then resume life in Never land. If he ain't marketable past teaching ESL, watch out.

I don't understand how staying at a hotel was cheaper than rent? Were they staying at one of those $30/night spots hookers use?

This is the question that needs to be asked of their journey to get him into the NBA.

Because back then....u could get an extended stay room for like $125/wk.
That's basically $500 a month and u don't have to worry about a light, water, cable, or phone bill.
It was easy to save money by going that route.
