January Jones Is Our New White Queen

The role of the ultra sexy telepathic mutant Emma Frost is finally filled as "Mad Men" star January Jones takes the slot. Of course, there's been a constant wave of "X-Men: First Class" casting news, so this isn't the only new piece for the day. Also recently included in the cast is Bill Milner as a young Magneto and Zoe Kravitz as Angel. Yeah, I'm just as utterly confused as you with that one.

Since January Jones is our own blonde haired bombshell, that means we can toss Alice Eve out of the slot. Which is really confusing too because we were all lead to believe that the "She's Out of My League" star would be the powerful mutant. Jones is now part of a cast that includes Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, Edi Gathegi, Lucas Till and Caleb Landry Jones.

"X-Men: First Class" begins filming within a matter of days in order to reach their June 3rd, 2011 release date. Anybody excited for this movie?

Lisa Bonet's Daughter, Zoe Kravitz, Joins 'X-Men: First Class' as Angel

In a surprising casting move, Zoe Kravitz, daughter of rocker and 'Precious' star Lenny Kravitz and 'Cosby Show' actress Lisa Bonet, has been chosen to play Angel in the upcoming comic book film, 'X-Men: First Class.'

Comic book fans and filmgoers who know the character and saw the last of the original X-Men trilogy, 'X-Men: The Last Stand' are aware that Angel is a white male and was played by Ben Foster in the third film.

According to Screenrant.com, "Angel is a character we thought for sure had no chance of being in the film ('First Class') since he was introduced in' X-Men 3' as someone with no prior knowledge or ties with the X-Men. If you're keeping track, the 'X-Men: First Class' movie currently only sits with two of the five actual original characters from Marvel Comics canon and one arguably shouldn't be there. That being said, this clearly isn't the same Angel we know but instead, the character known as Angel Salvadore."

Interesting enough, the 21 year-old Kravitz was dating Foster back in 2008.

Kravitz joins Edi Gathegi, who was previously cast as Darwin, as the only African Americans in the film.

With Matthew Vaughn directing, 'X-Men: First Class,' following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto. It starts when they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.
