Of all the things wrong about this country, i can honestly say sagging pants is probably at the bottom of the list.
No because it targets us, then it gives probably cause, guess what if your child is sagging trying to fit in with his homies and they got a dime sac on them he's a product of the system now. Should kids pull their damn pants up hell yes, should they go to jail no, should there be a fine sure, should it be prohibited at the proprietors discretion if they want that in their business or to serve them yes

As much as I'm tired of seeing this fad I never worry about guys doing this. They can't steal, run or defend themselves.
The funny thing about sagging is its causing orthopedic issues in these young men. Imagine having to see a orthopedic specialist before your 30yo. Its happening.

It's not enough that a black man has to deal with major issues and threats on a daily basis and then the young boys come out and give a new target to shoot at. I work at a public HS and the kids think its OK to walk around with their pants sagging. They have to walk with their legs spread funny to keep the pants from falling all the way down and that sets up orthopedic visits to those unable to afford it. As a Black man its embarrassing to me, and the saddest part is for the most part their uneducated, broke and think they cool.
I do not think Jail time is the answer - A mandatory dress code and maybe a business ettiquette class (Would be happy to see my tax dollars at work here), They could be asked to pay for the class. Maybe helping them understand how the image has a negative impact on their career propects. Granted some of them wouldn't care but we may get a result with a percentage.

NO furlough When I lived in Tacoma Washington every now and then I would go to the mall to get a pair of pants or shoes or shirt and usually the pants I would get would have the belt loops and still have the elastic waist. And they were more comfortable. Back then a lot of the dudes in the martial arts were wearing these type of clothing. The gi pants we worked out in or fought in had the same type of elastic waist they just did not have the belt loops.
We as blacks have got to move from being consumers to being producers. And it is hard to move up from the grass roots if you are use not to having anything.
