some would say that. That's their opinion. The price was right for the house.It's paid for. Plus I believe in helping where I come from. I understand the mindset of those that cut and run. I did it. I also came back. While others throw money at the hood kids I give direction first hand. My neighbors appreciate me for keeping the street clean from crime and I got a purpose now. One that includes more than myself.
the only dumb response is yours. Just because you grew up around poverty and all the junkies you knew were poor does not mean that all junkies are poor. Growing up I knew heroin addicts that went to work everyday just like I knew addicts who were poor. Drug addiction doesn't care about class or financial status. Cool. Baltimore is a blue collar town. Most of the residents are working class/ working poor.
Most of the heroin addicts fall within that demographic. Bmore is home of cheap smack. There are a ton of articles and documentaries if you want to enlighten yourself.
Shit, you could watch the Wire and see what it looks like when a poor black community has been paralyzed with cheap heroin. That show is the realest representation of the issue I've ever seen on screen.
