Joshua Ty FairleyI've heard this before and it does make sense but back when Superman was released in the early 1900, I think 1930, racism was out of control I don't think a black man with Superpowers who's main foe is a rich white man would have sold a copy. You guys see how Black Panther did in China, they said it was to many black people in it. Even today this argument gets racist comments i.e. (he going to rob the nearest liquor store.) Though I am a Superman fan I'll stick with the black superheroes of today Luke Cage, Cybrog, Black Panther, Black Lightning, War Machine, Batwing, Icon, Static, Spawn, etc. Let the whites have they're superheroes.
Levon DeMarquis Valle Folks obviously are missing the point. Being darker-skinned does not make him Black, nor does him being an alien mean he shouldn't have darker skin. Not to mention there is literally a Black Superman already.

Anthony Alexander this is a bogus argument. first of all he is from another planet with a sun that didnt give him powers so being born with that skin color would make since. then coming to earth he got his powers. the sun wouldnt suddenly give him melonin. all science proves is if his skin were dark he would be more powerful.
