Is it time for Nintendo to stop doing this?

Nintendo has always configured its buttons as B, A (Y, X) as opposed to A, B, X, Y
This sometimes caused confusion during the SNES and Genesis era and again when the Xbox was introduced
Yep. The youngin's don't know, Nintendo did it first, not Xbox.

Not sure of you know, but if you send in your old drifting joy cons, they will give you brand new ones. We've done this a couple of times.

I watch YouTube during the day to see what's happening with it during the week. Also, I watch or listen to games on yt to see how great they've become...
no lie.. gaming does soak up a lot of time
Damn it's been 30? NES > Genesis > Dreamcast > PS1 - PS5... My video game lineageTime flies. We got our Genesis console 30 years ago this coming Christmas ‘22.
It doesn't have to be too time consuming, but the main problem for most folks is aint no games out to pull you back in. Mf can only play so much Madden and 2K. The only game I been pressed for on a PS4 or 5 is HZDFW.

I hear ya. I have buddies that only play sports games on their PS5 or XSX. I don't know how they do it... Madden had been the same for a min and 2K is still 2K. FIFA ain't changed in a min either.
My problem is that I usually play RPGs. And I ain't got the time on my hands that I use to. Now, it's gotta be something quick...PvP or PvE. But I did jump into Elden Ring & TTWonderlands. It's gonna take me forever to beat them at the pace I'm going.
Elden Ring looks cool, but I probably wouldn't play it.
Back when I was playing madden, it took up all my time, I would play at home, at everyone else's house and barber shops, tournaments and all, I was great until online play started getting huge. I beat this old head who was in his 50s once and then he stomped me out 3 straight times by huge numbers, I retired (quit) after that. I used to play NBA live, and wwe, street fighter, mk and several years back I played that Jordan 2k version against some kids on vacation in outer banks and had a blast, but haven't touched it since. I wish I had more time like back in the day.
oh yeah that simcity used to take up a bunch of my time to on the pc, but I don't even think they have them anymoreit's not for everyone...i hate that game....... and love it at the same time
my biggest gripe with it is that the don't give you a quest journal...so you literally have to write down everything so you won't forget what to do next.

When I copped my PS5, I swore off of sports games, I can't justify paying for games with a recycled infrastructure... When they make the sports games for next gen and leave PS4 behind I'll jump back on it... Until then PS5 exclusives only - locked in to GT7 right now
We were around 6th / 7th grade. Most kids were getting SNES. I figured lemme go with the Genesis. Friends will enjoy playing it when stopping by, plus we could trade consoles and games entirely once in awhile. That was fun. Do that for a week or two at a time.

I limit the amount of time my kids can play. I used to do a one to one. For every minute reading or doing math , they get a minute to play. Now I do a two for one.
Thats because you only prolly snack while playing. I used to have that problem with my PS4 controllers. I had to replace three different controllers. When I brought my last controller I read the instructions and it said specifically not to eat while playing. Stopped eating and kept wet wipes near me to clean my hands before I touch the controller. I've had my new controller for two years now and no drift whatsoever. When you eat or drink soda while playing the food residue builds up in the well of the thumbsticks and over time it gets to the circuitry cauding a malfunction. You can by a tumbsick cap to place over the well to prevent this.

I must be a rarity because Im a Nintendo and PS guy. Even,though I had a Genesis most of the games on there were wack ass fuck especially,the Mortal Kombat games. The SNES version of the series was light years better than the Genesis version.

Getting a sega was one of the worst things I did as a kid, all my friends had a snes and I was stuck with it because my parents were not going to buy me two consoles.
My re-evaluation of the N64 via emulation has been horrible.
Awkward ass controller. (I use a hori-pad clone by Retrobit but the first party trident is terrible)
Nice hidden gems but few games outside of the first-party Nintendo titles that are really memorable
and just a load of racing shovelware
