That "disconnect" is not just a Black American issue....is a Black people issue.
We, Black Americans, find ways to distance ourselves from other Black people around the world in the same way that millions of Native Africans, Afro-Latinos etc find ways to distance themselves from Black Americans. Once we cut out the middle Man, White folks and their Negro pawns, then maybe we can reconnect.
Humans in general are disconnected from one another. That lack of compassion is one of the main reasons why this world is fucked up.
Farrakhan lost all credibility with me after that L. Ron Hubbard bullshit. He still drops the occasional gem of knowledge, but a bought and paid for fraud as far as I'm concerned. 
You can tell the difference between those who listen and those who just listen to snippets.
Farrakhan was never trying to make his followers join the Scientology movement. Nor was he consigning all of their teachings. But one of the Scientology ideas that he did embrace was dianetics. Once u study the meaning of dianetics, then examine what Black folks in America are going through,...then it would make more sense.
You can dig into almost 90% of the most popular belief systems and find a few gems. Christianity, Islam, Scientology, whateva.
Anyways...
Based off what you typed....maybe you should study dianetics. Cause there seems to be some issues......
