Killers younger and younger in Birmingham

A third teenage suspect has been arrested and charged in the murder of five people in Ensley Sunday.
Reginald Mims, a 16-year-old from Bessemer, has been charged with five counts of capital murder in the deaths of five men in the same house in Ensley.

Two other teenagers have also been arrested and charged for the crimes: Artavius Underwood, 16, of Birmingham and 17-year-old Rashad Stoves of Birmingham. Both are charged with five counts of capital murder.
In addition to the murder charges, Mims has a first degree robbery charge from an unrelated case and Stoves has charges of attempted murder and robbery from unrelated cases. Underwood made his first court appearance this morning when he was read the charges that he faces.

All three suspects are being held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
The names of the five men killed in a house in Ensley Highlands were released on Tuesday. They are 42-year-old Ronnie Render and his nephew Charles Render, Demetrius Sanford, Jeffery Davis, Jr. and Jonathan Sanchez. Four of the victims were shot execution-style. All died from gunshot wounds.

The shooting happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 in a home located at 3113 Avenue S.

You"ll have the parents in the courtroom actin stupid saying their son is a victim of society. Fry the little fuckers (if they are truly guilty).

Nope, I don't condone death penalty for those with mental deficiencies or those under the age of 18.

I also don't think they should get life without parole. Give them a long sentence with the possibility of parole if they rehabilitate.

There is something wrong with the way they were raised if they are committing crimes at such a young age of this nature.

If they don't reform then don't parole them.

THE YOUNGEST PERSON TO BE EXECUTED IN AMERICA WAS A 14 YEAR OLD BLACK DUDE.
WE LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE THIS TYPE OF ENERGY RULES. WHAT HAPPENED IN RWANDA AND OTHER EVENTS SHOWS WHITE CONTROL OVER US AND OUR MINDS.
IT IS ALL ABOUT SEPARATING GETTING OUR TRUE IDENTITY BACK.

If a person under 18 can purposely cause death, they can be put to it.

Persons under 18 can do a lot of things often without the ability to know or relate to the consequences.

The reason for sex education is because while kids can have sex they usually don't have the information to make sound and safe choices.

This has been even more true since the states have intervened in parents ability to discipline these kids and teach them about consequences.

Kids that participate in this type of behavior are developmentally stunted and that falls on the parents, schools ,courts and of course the kids themselves.

The death penalty is supposed to be a deterrent but we know that isn't the case. it is strictly used for revenge.

As I said ,life with a chance for parole.

If you listen to the 2nd link about, you'll heard the distraught mother of one of the charged young men state she had no idea what was going on once her son left to hang out with his friends. I think its a culture thing, that gang mentality with these young kids. I don't know what the quick fix, if there's one, is but something has to be done nationwide.

i say kill em. it can both be an aexample to any other knuckleheads, and if done quick, can save the state money over lifelong incarceration costs. right now, these fuckers only fear of death come from their enemies and police. they really have zero fear of being caught.:smh:

You can say that about drugs, drinking, and sex but robbing and executing people? They deserve what they get.

Although I respect your position, I also disagree somewhat. You mention sex ed, but criminal justice is also taught, or at least it was in the 80's, so they know the punishment for certain crimes. If they're developmentally stunted, I don't see that getting any better in prison where they'll have to learn survival instincts, and letting them out on parole is just asking for another crime. Again, if they killed, then they should be killed. If not, I sure as hell wouldn't let them back out. It's either death, or life w/o parole. Either way, they're dying in in jail.

No, I do not support the death penalty. Ever.
It's cheaper to jail them than it is to execute.
The death penalty isn't even a deterrent, crime rates don't go down with it in place.

Jail without parole those you have to.
The rest rehabilitate if you can.
Other countries can do it.

These young men have no regard for human life. They would have killed you too if you would have been at that spot. They know right from wrong, they have people in their lives that they love. They would not want anything to happen to their love ones. They got together like a pack of monsters trying to be hard and destroyed the gift of life. They should be taken out of the life equation. Sad but true, if they would have gotten away with this crime they would kill again.

Dude criminal justice is not taught in middle school nor high school.

I have kids from 12- 30 and not one has had a criminal justice class.

In fact as I said when I was going to school not only could your parents tap that ass but so could teachers. neighbors were involved as well.

Kids starting in the 80's had no idea about action and reaction, cause and effect and choice and consequences because that is when society started that time out don't beat your kids shit. That is when the rod was spared and the child was spoiled.

They when kids get out of control they want to extend curfews, charge them as adults and give the the death penalty.

The also go crazy executing teenagers and the mentally retarded.

That shit isn't a deterrent and never has been.

Ass whooping was a deterrent. it didn't stop us from doing dumb shit but it made us think if the dumb shit was worth it.

Like don't leave the house when we ain't home. Some chick wants to give a little loving. Do you leave and take the chance on an ass whooping?

you whole post is one big assumption.

you basing this on what you have in your life ?

but they didn't get away with it and that isn't the question.

You're right about a lot of what you're saying but the truth of the matter is that criminal justice courses nor disciplinary ass whoopings are necessary to know that executing 5 people is wrong. More importantly, the world is a better place without them. There is more to be lost by allowing them to live therefore potentially killing again in jail and/or on the streets. Good Riddance!

first off...i didn't read the word "convicted" ..anywhere...

i don't know why society assumes ..the police ..ALWAYS arrests the right person.. and the DA ALWAYS prosecutes the right person... when that's been proven time and time again to be untrue ...

"arrested".."charged".."suspected of" ..."indicted" ...is NOT synonymous with "convicted" ....

secondly ... no ... i'm not for the death penalty ...especially not for teenagers ...whose brains are not even fully developed yet ...

Kill'em, burn'em!
I hateto hear that "Juvenile" shit. They are old enough and know what they are doing. They need to pay the price of doing dirt as firing a gun "Execution style"
Fuck'em. let them rot in hell :angry::angry:

i will gladly pull the switch or the trigger,,, make sure that all three are in the same room across from each other when its time for the lights to go out

don't conflate bein' anti-death penalty with bein' anti-punishment ..or anti-rehabilitation...

if convicted ... they have a debt to pay to society ... and 25 years in prison isn't a cake walk...

I'm conflicted...the only time I would ever be 100% comfortable w/ the death penalty is concerning crimes against children...I would sooner see that grown ass cac who was feeding kids semen get shocked to fuckin death over these pieces of shit who are still relatively young and may be salvageable :dunno:

I think its the same shift in culture that requires legislators and advocates for changes in penal law to seriously consider tabling death penalty for individuals under 18 years old.
