so im watching tv with my girl yesterday and this infomercial is playing about this new hair product called the InStyler. So of course, she wants it. I called the company to order one, because on their website, theres no way to order just one, you have to do the special promotion. Anyway, i called and the automated response said i had 55 people ahead of me. So im thinking, this thing might be real popular. So anyway, are there any ladies on here who use it and would recommend it? thanks.

It looks interesting, but so far, the best flat iron is probably solia. Though, I use conair nano. Works fine and never had a problem with it.

can these two products do everything that the instyler can do?

I, personally, wouldn't apply that much direct heat to my hair its very damaging... To straighten your whole head using something that small and tiny would also take HOURS.. well for me it would.. anyway... Before you buy it think about will she actually use it once the novelty wears off...

I have a ceramic flat iron for those days when I slept too wild and my hair has some crinkle to smooth it out... I only use my flat iron maybe 4 months out the year...

i dont know how often she will use, or what she will use it for, i just want to get it to shut her up. shes always complaining i never get her what she asked for, so she asked for this, and i just want to see if its worth getting. but thanks for the responses. i will check out those other ones.

I like the "Chi" though I try to keep heat off my hair as much as possible. They also have a cheaper version of the Chi, I think its called Ion at Sallys Beauty Supply, both work wonderful.

Also if you want independent reviews on the product, just type "Instyler reviews" on google, instead of going by the reviews on the site.

thanks a lot.

I got my ceramic iron from walmart a couple of years ago. 1 inch barrel, get through my whole head in a little over an hour and I've got extra thick & kinky hair

that iron looks like its made for becky:hmm:

ive tried all kinds of flat irons:
chi (ceramic heat)
lenapro (titanium)
ionic (ceramic ion technology)
various off brand versions of the chi

if you have to put heat on your hair the best kind is ceramic

honestly...there is no substitution for the chi...its an amazing iron...the heat isnt as bad on your hair...and it stays straighter longer

if its a flat iron she is shopping for i suggest to save yourself the headache and just get a chi...the price is kinda high but its so worth it

--OR--

Get the Sedu. It's the highest rated flat iron on folica.com... out of hundreds of reviewers (regular people like me and you).

the type of hair can play a factor too mines is thick and theres a lot so id probably have to 8 to 5 with the instyler to leave my house...
