Two weeks into the new season of 'The View,' co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg erupted at each other during a commercial break in front of the show's studio audience.
Well, that didn’t take long.

Just two weeks into the new season of “The View,” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg tore into each other during a commercial break — in front of their stunned studio audience.
The show is a disaster, there's zero chemistry between them, and Rosie
Perez has the most annoying voice on the planet. I'd keep Whoopie, get
rid of the rest of them and start again. They made a huge mistake by
getting rid of the old production team, and threw the baby out with the
bathwater. But nothing surprises me coming from ABC, bunch of putzes.

Rosie

It's not only me who feels that way but in fairness Rosie has taken elocution classes (you can tell) but today she forget her lessons and her voice was annoying (like J-lo) they both sound like fingernails dragged across a blackboard. That screeching sound.

"O’Donnell refuses to wear an earpiece to stay in contact with producers
while the live show is airing, so she had no clue it was time to stop
talking"

This has to be a major source of the problem. Come on Rosie... you are a pro. Wear your earpiece like everybody else. I'm sure the studio can make it extra comfy for you if you request it. But you are part of a team. Your co-hosts and the off-camera crew would certainly appreciate your professional cooperation.

Good point, but that 'image' is well beyond repair.

I agree with you 100%. Back off. You don't want to go there with Goldberg. Just not worth it. She (Goldberg) will concede when there is doubt.

Whoopie is pretty level headed. She's older, a lot more mature than she was in her widl days and knows the benefits of diplomacy.

I never cared of O'Donnell and this just keeps showing why. She is a brat when she is not the biggest fish in the pond

Someone should just give her an Oscar for playing victim. It's her favorite role and she is so good at it.

That's Rossie. I saw this coming. Didn't everyone else. Rosie cannot play nice. She must be right. God forbid someone disagrees with her. By hiring Rosie back, they have sealed the fate of The View. It is just a matter of time.

O' Donnell is not an easy person to deal with
The spat erupted Thursday after Goldberg interrupted O’Donnell to go to a commercial break before the mother of five was finished commenting in a “Hot Topic” discussion about spanking children on the ABC gabfest.

O'Donnell accused her co-host of hurting her feelings.

O'Donnell (left) accused Goldberg (right) of hurting her feelings by cutting her off, and the fight escalated when O'Donnell refused to drop the issue.
O’Donnell refuses to wear an earpiece to stay in contact with producers while the live show is airing, so she had no clue it was time to stop talking. Still, after Goldberg cut her off, O’Donnell had a fit during the break, telling Goldberg, “You hurt my feelings.”

“I’m very upset by it,” she added, according to the Daily Mail.

I told you to leave it alone and you just don’t want to listen. If you want to go there, Rosie, I will, damn it. I’m really sick of your s---!
Goldberg tried to calm O’Donnell, noting: “This isn’t the time for this, Rosie.”

But O’Donnell wouldn’t drop the subject. “It makes me upset and I just don’t want to have to go through this,” she complained.

Goldberg, clearly annoyed, shot back: “I said this was not the time, Rosie.”

Undaunted, O’Donnell continued to rant until Goldberg snapped, “F--- it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don’t want to listen. If you want to go there, Rosie, I will, damn it. I’m really sick of your s---!”

O'Donnell (right) is no stranger to heated spats with her 'View' co-hosts.
Production sources said the studio became silent — until co-host Rosie Perez cracked, “Oh, s---, Twitter is going to be off the hook now.”

After the commercial break, the pair acted as if nothing had happened.

A rep for “The View” played down the incident, noting that having strong opinions is part of the job for Goldberg and O’Donnell. “They had a misunderstanding and an exchange. They talked it out and they were back to business as usual,” show spokeswoman Lauri Hogan said.

Fireworks are indeed par for O’Donnell’s course. She famously ended her first tour of duty on “The View” in 2007 when she walked off the set after a verbal spat with former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

When the new “View” launched earlier this month, O’Donnell told the Daily News she has no plans to leave the show this time around — at least until her one-year deal expires next summer.
