Making Money on EBay
Sooner or later, I was going to write a review on making money on EBay. Mazu policy is that if five (or more) people ask about something we don’t have a review on, we will create one. Well, I hope you are happy! I didn’t want to do it but here we go.
EBay has been around since the mid 90’s, but has really taken off in the last few years. If you have been living under a rock the past few years and don’t know what it is, it’s time to get up to speed. I won’t take the time to really explain what EBay is (as most people get it), but just understand that it is the biggest auction site on the Internet. Sort of like 50 million people coming to your garage sale.
This review is not really about EBay (which I think is a pretty cool site/service) but more about the people that claim you can make a lot of money selling stuff using EBay.
Like most business opportunities there are the lies and the half truths. The real truth lies somewhere in-between.
You can make money selling products and services on EBay. For a very small price, you can have thousands of people calling on your auction page, looking at the product or service that you are selling. The problem isn’t with that. The chalenge is determining what the heck you are going to sell.
EBay really works best for the person who already has a product or service and wants to sell it to a larger audience. People can either start auctioning off their goodies and/or advertising their own website at the bottom of their auction page. This is really how the big players are using EBay for big online profits. They have ten or twenty auctions going on and are advertising their site at the bottom. Some people are getting 3,000 people a day to their main site for about $500 a month. You can make $300,000 a year from 3,000 daily visitors to your site (I do).
Most newbies would be better off finding out how to internet market.
So at this point, I am not going to recommend any of the “marketing on Ebay” courses unless they are going to recommend specific products that you can sell.
Even the courses that say they have products that you can sell are mostly going to give you junk. The people really making the big money on EBay either have their own products or they aren’t going to let you in on the ones that they are making money with.
Just understanding the process in this example is pretty easy. Coming up with the products and the tie-in is the hard part.
****I know of the perfect product, guaranteed to make you money on ebay.
If there is enough interest, I will post here; or, if the people's republic of bgol demands the info via PM, I have no qualms,...
