Presentation description
Join us for Break the Silence: Congo Week
The Democratic Republic of the Congo, situated in the heart of the African continent, the size of Western Europe, straddling the equator has been at the center of the struggle for African liberation for centuries. Indigenous leaders from the heart of the Congo rainforest have been mobilizing rural communities in the Congo and the Congo Basin writ-large under the banner of Pan Africanism of the masses.
Grounded in the Topoke principles of Basandja "A Topoke code of ethic that governs how human beings seek balance among all living entities" Indigenous leader, Samuel Yagase, his organization GOVA and the Basandja Coalition are undertaking a concerted campaign to reclaim the land, the resources and riches of the Congo for the benefit of the oppressed masses of Congo and Africa overall.
Join us for a film screening, discussion and call to Pan African action for a free and liberated Congo and Africa.
