it does cover it.
most health insurance companies wont cover preconditions....especially a child that isnt born yet. it would be different if it you found out your child had it afterwards. but knowing this while pregnant....most insurance companies would back out or deny you coverage outright. even if they did...your copayments will still hurt you financially. one of you will have to work....and one of you will have to stay home. if you're a single parent.....go ahead and get in the welfare line early.

first off....... you said yor girl is pregnat............ so to me that means that the young lady in the pic is not related to you....... so if you were trying to be funny you failed ... that shit was/ is fucked up! why would you make fun of somebody like that.... if it wasnt you intention to be funny then my buss....... i have a nephew with downs syndrome...... he has lived pass his expected time here with us........ his birth has most deffinately been a blessing to my family....... his life has brought us joy and happiness that i dont think we would not have had he not been born....... he is ALWAYS happy!!!!! he is always peaceful, his presance is love........ he has been the glue that has held us together when we wuld have other wise feel apart...... just him being alive!!!!! i have another nephew who is around the same age as I am and growing up we treated him just like he was normal... because as far as we were concerned he was / is...... he can bust ass on ANY video game........ he has @ girlfriends and he's finished school (for special people) he goes to a work program that pays him.... he attends all types of dances and at family functions he is the life of the party.... the only thing that saddens me is that he will forever be 8 or 9 yrs old and he is now 33 or 34.... he can cook using a microwave, go to the corner store, and participates in the special olympics, ( they all get gold medals lol) ect.... ect...... i cant imagen what MY life would be like w/o him in it........ there is nothing to be ashamed of........... if people dont want to be apart of your life as a result of that birth you dont need those people in your life, period! the severity of the retardation will determine the quality of life that they live but it is up too you to make a difference in that area... I had an abortion a while back and that shit still hunts me....... this could be the thing that solidifys your relationship.......... if you pray.......do that! there are no mistakes only obsticals for us to overcome........... good luck bro...... if you need any more advice or info feel free to pm me!

If u and girl dont want to be parent then give the baby to a deserving home with parents that will love the baby 1000x better than you would and everybody wins.
I used to trip but I was in a situation where I could help someone out - I was able to adopt a kid and trust me it take a lot to adopt another couple's kid but it become a blessing.
As u can see I am Pro-Life but I think you missing the point - whatever a man and woman create - the result is part of you and your lady and the work of a higher level - remember the mofo that get concieve have to race to beat out a million nut to get to the egg lol kinda comical in a way
But imo abortion is just the weak easy way out - if u and your girl dont want to be parent then put the kid up for adoption but let the adopting parent know upfront that the baby will have DS.
I hate to say this but too many DS kids in Foster Care but Taxpayers are paying the foster parent some nice $$$ for care and living expense of the kid.
Disabled kids get extra $$$$$$ so they too can be proud Americans

I didn't say my girl was pregnant. And I didn't put that picture there to be funny. Its just a pic of a kid with DS. Nothing funny about that. Me personally, I think I would abort the kid. I look at it from 2 perspectives. 1st of all, I would not want to live that way. 2nd, part of the joy of parenthood is watching the child grow into adulthood. You know seeing your kid graduate from high school, go to college, then get married and live as an adult. Not saying I am right, that just how I feel.

No, my first child has Down's. They do not cost hundred's of thousands of dollars to take care of. It does take the right kind of parents to raise them. Some of the children do have health problems, but that can happen with any child. If this were to happen to anybody in the future, I'm sure they will be faced with the abortion choice and alot people around will try to convince to get rid of "it". I have no regrets. She is in regular classes with some outside help for certain area.
Plain and simple. If you are or think you are man enough to fuck without a rubber than you should be man enough to raise that child or seek someone who you know can take care of the child. Killing the baby makes you no better than the sick people you see on the news because you took a life that deserved one.

my brother has down syndrome, he is 27 older then me...and I love him to death some of the responses i have read are truly ignorant. I cant see myself without my brother....it actually hurts me to read what some of you write but i guess not everyone is the same...

my brother is smart but it still hurts to see him get a simple cold.
if this is happening to you, if you decided to have it..treat your kid like a regular person dont baby him/her they will be much smarter if you do that,
if not life moves on and i hope your next kid comes out very healthy because you are going to live with the fact that you got rid of one of your kids cause he was different.
