ok i am curious. what can you "really" use this on??

everyone of them is in the start menu or system/admin tools

start > run > <whatever command> I guess

also it is good to know the shortcuts when you don't want to go through all the trouble of going through all the menus.....

no, i understand how to use it (sidenote - you can also hit the "windows" button and R on the keyboard)

is a shortcut that necessary? maybe it is, i just dont see the usefulness of it.

Nice list. I was going to mention that the Group policy Editor was only available in XP Pro, but I see you did that already:

39. Group Policy Editor (for xp professional) - gpedit.msc

So while I'm here, let me at least add the very useful Windows NT IPConfig Utility (wntipcfg.exe): This free GUI tool from Microsoft gives you information about your IP configuration. To download, copy and paste the following link:
Code:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/win2000platform/wntipcfg/1.00.0.1/nt5/en-us/wntipcfg_setup.exe
What I like about this is that it is a small (88k) portable utility (no install needed). The setup is used to simply extract the file. I place it on every desktop (either directly or via shortcut) . Many people were pissed when Microsoft did not include WinIPConfig with XP, so they made this available for download. Not as verbose as IPconfig, but great for a quick IP confirmation or renewal. I always encourage the technically challenged to place it on their desktops in case they need me to talk them through a connection issue.
