Prostitution. I just read about a prostitution bust in Atlanta. Massage parlors I think. Probably old but it got me to thinking.

I don't condone prostitution but I can't really come up with a reason why I don't?

I mean it is fair game for a woman to fuck you for anything under the sun except for money? Well direct payment of money. Women being of free will and choice can choose to fuck anybody for anything. Be it relationship, security, monetary gain, hell even a place to stay and food. But pull out your pocket and pay her and you are going to jail?

I know why it was illegal in the biblical times because it frowned upon to have sex outside of marriage. But today seeing how people can fuck freely why is this still the case?

You know I've heard from some people that it's the health issue. That it leads to spreading disease and abuse of minors. But that shit is happening anyway. I mean if R. Wellllllll I was agreeing that the laws were written against women just not for THAT specific purpose.

Women's worth back then amounted to child bearing/rearing and keeping them faithful guaranteed that the man's bloodline extended. Birthrights and shit like that was huuuuuge in olden times. I personally don't see any issue with prostitution. I've had buddies from NOLA and in the Navy that got with prostitutes. The only problem I see is the possibility of an STD, but if you're careful that shouldn't be an issue.

What tends to make people uncomfortable is that it's a 'moral' wrong. That is a cultural sentiment though, as there are plenty of countries (Japan most notably) where prostitution is not only legal, but can be a career of great distinction. Ancient Rome was famous for this also.

IMO there's nothing wrong with having your physical needs met if you're being careful with your body and you're not cheating on anyone. It'd probably be cheaper than an evening out anyway to only have a chance at getting some.

Projection of this logic suggests that anything the government can't tax is illegal. Which is obviously not the case from numerous examples of government regulated public services you pay taxes for but will get canned with the quickness if you brek the law.

It's legal in other some countries that are as capitalistic as the USA. The main legal impediment is really just the unregulated prostitution-allied practices like pimping, drug use and willy-nilly soliciting.

I'm looking for the info now (seems to be hard to find for most states), but I think I remember seeing something a while back that said the highest rates of STDs and teen pregnancies were in the Bible Belt states like Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. The states with Abstinence Only programs were the highest, whereas states with open sex laws tended to be the lowest.

I guess it's like owning guns or drinking. Teach kids from a young age how to be responsible and they're more likely to grow up more safely with less accidents, injuries, or fatalities. Teach them that it's evil and bad and they never learn to be responsible, so tend to be at a higher risk for infection.

I would imagine the brothel handles all the taxes for their employees. The price is negotiated then the house madam arrives to get the cut for the house. So I doubt the women have much to do with the taxes. Nevada could care less who the money comes from as long as they get theirs.

Of course this is my best guess as to how the finances are controlled. But I can't see the women being trusted to handle dealing with the government.
