During a stop at a pizza joint in New York on Wednesday, John Kasich drew the mock ire of locals and reporters on Twitter as he used a fork.

On Thursday, Kasich explained himself.

"Look, look, the pizza came scalding hot, OK? And so I use a little fork," the governor of Ohio told ABC's "Good Morning America." "You know what? My wife who is on spring break with my daughters said, ’I'm proud of you. You finally learned how to use a utensil properly.’ But I mean — not only did I eat the pizza, I had the hot sausage. It was fantastic."

Kasich, apparently recognizing his error, finished up using his hands, although he did not fold over the slice, as is customary.

"But here's what I've learned — I came to New York, there were like 100 press people there. Get ready, John, because I'll be spending a lot of time in New York," he joked.

"New Yorkers eat their pizza a certain way. Not just New Yorkers, but around the world," co-host Robin Roberts told Kasich, as laughter erupted off-camera.

Kasich replied in jest, "Listen — I was eating pizza before that reporter was born."

The Midwestern governor is not the only presidential candidate who has been previously criticized for his form. In 2011, while dining at a Famous Famiglia pizza joint in Manhattan with Sarah Palin, Queens native Donald Trump came under fire for using a fork.

"This way you can take the top of the pizza off, you're not just eating the crust. I like not to eat the crust so that we keep the weight down at least as good as possible," the businessman said in a YouTube video. That response followed a verbal thrashing by Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show," with the host joking, "Based on how you eat pizza Donald, I'd like to see your long form birth certificate. I don't think you were really born in New York."

1. For one, lowering the interest rates on school loans, or just scratching them out for people who have been making consistent payments over a certain amount of years. There are a few programs like that, Where they pay off your student loans, but they are bogus. They just try to get you enrolled in one of THEIR proposed schools, where they try to G you and get you to take out MORE LOANS.

2. Holding police officers accountable for taking deadly action against unarmed civilians.

3. My thing on immigration is this, if there are families here illegally, but are working people; nannies, construction workers, gardeners, etc. I don't think it should be a problem. Make them citizens and make them pay taxes.

4. Holding judges, police officers, prosecutors/lawyers accountable, for presenting fake evidence to prosecute innocent people. I know this can't happen to judges, they will just have to step down, but still. So many innocent people get thrown into prison. Then a domino effect of fucked shit happens to them and their families as a result. Getting released from prison after 10-25 years for a crime you didn't commit. Then some states try to deny any wrong doing. We have a broken justice system. And it ain't getting any better.

Relating to you experience and rep[resenting you are not synonymous. Clarence Thomas and Ben Carson both had a typical black experience and that has not resemblance to how they would

Secondly Killer Mike is referring not only to his history or trying to make changes that would benefit black people and their experience that is his current platform.

Half of what you say your issues are are state and local so that is where that activity needs to be.

And there is more to improving the quality of life for black folks than only showing up when a black child is murdered.

Education reform and job training. The ability to get jobs once you have the training. Opening up the private sector unions which are almost entirely white

Justice reform and what opportunities are available after a person pays their debt instead pf locking them out and leaving nothing but a return to crime and prison.
