How is it that he can complain about Lebron going to the Heat when he did the same thing. Barkley went to the Rockets, a team that nucleus won a title. lebron is going to a team that has a nucleus that has not won a title. The two main men won a title and was being coached by that championship coach named Rudy. Hell Lebron is going to hook up with the core duo of Hasleem and Wade. A far cry from Clyde and Hakeem.

Not to mention a young barkley got up with a young jordan, pippen, and others to make the dream team in 92. Barkely can't talk. Hell most of those guys camt talk.

I see what you are sayin but to me it is the same. People keep saying it is somehow different but what Barkley did was worst. He went on a championship team that had the leagues best center, top 5 shooting guard, and great coach while he was considered by many as the best PF in the game. That unit he joined won a championship. If anything it makes Lebron's situation better because the heat are not a championship caliber team and have a great coach when he joined it. The roster was unknown unlike when barkley went to the rockets.

As fot the olympic team it was a farce and they enjoyed playing together on the dream team. They could have all backed out and said it was fkr the ncaa cats. But they wanted to play together with thw hopes of creating history and winning the gold medal.

Plus, the fact remains, Barkley definitely did give it the college try, both in Philly and in Phoenix, and at the END of his career, tried to get his ring. Nobody is saying LeBron is wrong for wanting to win, but to throw in the towel so early in his career shows if nothing else, the thing that will forever separate him from the Kobe's, Jordan's, Magic's, etc. is no damn Killer Instinct! A real killer and competitor would have the same mentality Jordan spoke of, Fuck Joining the other Dude's, I want to beat them. The only one coming out of this with shine is DWade, who already has his chip without LB or second tier player Bosh (anyone who terms this Dude a superstar is a Damn fool!). No matter what way it is sliced, LeBron's ass can win 5 chips with the Heat but he will never be spoken of in the same breath as Air, or Kobe or Magic!?!?!? He will always be deemed as D Wades second, and niccas can say all they want about this become LeBrons team, but the fact remains, DWade didn't come to Cleveland to play with him, LeBron left to come to HIS town and team. A grown man can do what he wants, but with all the Kobe Hate on BGOL, Dude has won chips with and WITHOUT Shaq. Yeah, he might have gotten Gasol, and Odom, etc. to help him, but they came to him! He didn't bitch up and go to them.... that being said, Barkley's situation is no where near as Pussy assed as LeBron's is...

after the players of the 76ers championship team were disbanded (the first few seasons of charles barkley's career), charles barkley had his first taste as a true franchise player under coach lynam. charles barkley did an admirable job eventually leading the 76ers to a 1st place finish in the atlantic division (and 50+ wins).

when charles barkley became frustrated over the lack of GM moves to acquire more pieces (sound familiar?) he played the race card to force a trade. at least lebron james didn't do that.

not for nothing, but how many seasons did charles barkley remain in philadelphia as "the man" before he called it quits? (sound familiar?)

then he left to join an already strong WINNING team (4 consecutive 50+ win seasons), unlike the miami heat.

Man i hated Barkley and Reggie White for bouncing. Barkley did the 76ers shitty. He used to come out after the game talking shit about his own team and then forced a trade. Man Barkley cant say a word. At least lebron honored his contract amd left as a free agent. Barkley didn't. I am pretty sure reggie waited for free agency but him leaving still hurt.

I still stand by my statement that it's not the same thing. No doubt Barkley fucked the Sixers when he bounce but at least they were in a position to get 'something' in return for him?!?!? My agg with LeBron, is not that he left, but the way he did? These Dudes (Bosh, Wade, LB), plotted this shit 3 years ago and just played out the string! That's why instead of signing longer term deals, they all signed the same deal, if I'm not mistaken not too far apart, plus, that's why DWade didn't REALLY trip when Miami started going down hill.
