yeah , I think he would, its the system he is running...that allows him to be so great. I mean when u dont run a system, u cant do anything, look at teams like the falcons or the dolphins, they have brand new systems every other year....its hard for players to learn a system when new players are coming and disrupting what a coach is trying to do. brady has been running the system since 2000, thats seven years with the same head coach...and system....name one other team that has that kinda of shit going on....besides seattle and indy...

But after seeing what happened to San Diego after Marty left, I think good players need great coaching to take them to the next level. you have good coaches with crappy qb's, they can make things work for a year or so but it catches up to them (chicago, etc.)

Having played QB my whole life, (some 20 odd years now) the QB is just a part of the puzzle. QB's get too much praise when we win, and too much blame when we lose. That comes with the territory, but I digress.

All great QB's have had solid systems built around them in order to achieve success. Let's take a look.

Doug Williams - Joe Gibbs
Peyton Manning - Tony Dungy
Joe Montana - Bill Walsh
Dan Marino - Don Shula
Troy Aikman - Jimmy Johnson
Tom Brady - Bill Belichik

Now of course all these vary here and there, but essentially all these QB's had the right players around them and the right system in which they could achieve success.

Belichik has built this current system around Tom Brady. And well might I add. His O-Line is a human equivalent to the Great Wall of China, or New England for that matter, and they protect Brady long enough for him to assassinate secondaries. I'm pretty sure another QB would flourish in there, given the proper tweaks according to their abilities, and I believe Belichik would be the right man to do so.

Bill Belichik, love him or hate him for running up scores, hands down knows and understands the in's and out's of football.
