I Tried 6 Fast Food Cheeseburgers—This Is the One I Will Go Back for Every Time

Please. All these chains have antibiotics, steroids and hormones in their beef except for maybe Shake Shack.

My pick is Burger Fi. No SS in my area.

I’d probably put #2 Freddie’s after Five Guys, but they’re not everywhere. Whatabutger(Texas)after that. Everything else, I ain’t touching.

PS, In N Out is the most overrated bullshit burger I ever tried. Wack ass fries too.
I just recently tried Whataburger after a Texas wedding trip..

I shit you not, after that flight and not having eaten all morning and day, I was hungry hungry. I took one bite of that bite burger and put it in the trash. That was one of the nastiest burgers I’ve ever tried in my life. And the fries? Skinny af with zero taste.

I think folks in the south of Texas or wherever that chain is prevalent are deprived of good burgers cause the way they hype Whataburger ain’t right.

That don’t belong on any burger list for me, alongside McDonald’s, BK, Wendy’s, etc

Fatburger in the day when clubs let out...was freak central and oh..you top it with whatever burgers.

I recently found out a Sister founded Fatburger.

bK better than mcds but everything else is accurate. #1 and #2 are about the same

we don't have a shake shack no where around here. i've been to 5 guys one time and will never go back again. fries were soggy and the burger was a grease trap. dam burger fell apart while i was eating and i might have used like 10 napkins. just sloppy presentation and wasn't worth the 14 dollars i paid for it. whataburger is my go to burger which i haven't had a fast food burger in 2 years

Never had shake shack but five guys is couple steps above In & Out which is outright trash imo.

I like those smash burgers I had on the easy coast & mid-West, so I want to try that shack burger.

In LA, I'll stick to my hood burgers tho. In General these taste better than anything on this list. My go to, Fred's Down Home
Burgers. This spot called Storm Burger making a name for themselves. Tried them, they was pretty tasty & reasonably priced. Now when I past by they always have a long ass line. I don't fuck with long lines. I fucks with Fred's, they slow but it's worth it. Best burger I ever had was in a hood meat market in Watts, black family owned it (Lee's market, across 110th street like the song). They made this burger I called the heart attack with a fried egg & grilled sausage. I generally don't go to franchises for a burger.

Just found out there's a Shake Shack about 35mins away from me in Cary, but I don't know if I wanna take that drive just for a burger. I do like Five Guys burgers but there's also another chain in Raleigh called Wayback Burgers that's also pretty delicious.

What, you don't eat fast food?

It is a once a week thing at most, more like twice a month! And those are little ass burgers!

The shitty ass District has not a single Burger King, the options are pretty sparse in my NW neighborhood.
DC has more international and Black owned food options than probably anywhere in the world and this guy is mad Burger King got ran out the city.

What are your top 5 international and black-owned recommendations?

Damn it, I do miss Burger King, I hanker for Carl's Jr/Hardees, I really was sad to see Fuddruckers go.

I do like DC's Ethiopian food and a couple of the soul food places. Georgia Brown's is excellent if you want to go the fancy route but that's not the kind of recommendation I'm looking for. Ben's Chilli Bowl is, putting it kindly, vastly overrated. Florida Avenue Grill is great + affordable and Ethiopic really impressed me recently. That's my list off the top of my head.

Man there are soooooooooooooooo many Black owned good eat spots. Ill try to find a few IG accounts that highlight them.

International spots.. hit yelp or google and check for Lebanese, El Salvadorian, Middle Eastern. A real good Indian spot in your area is Indigo on K st.

And yes, dont tell anyone but Bens is indeed overrated (as is Georgie Browns imo but they are respected city staples).. . Fl Ave Grill is all time great DC diner.. and yea, the best Ethiopian food outside of Ethiopia is in the city.

I fucks with Five Guys not a fan of their prices but the burger is good. Never had Shake Shack it seems so trendy and such a fad like Raising Canes or Chic-Fil-A. When I need to save doe I would use the Burger King coupons. In & Out is good but it's simple and lacks options, you can only animal-style your burger and fries so many times. Wendy's is good for saving doe 5for5, 4for4, but I can't mess with these spots anymore it's mostly fried food and beef. They also charge too much for grilled chicken sandwiches.

Dude..... that wasn't grease........ that was all the luxurious juices coming from that expertly cooked, crisped on the outside to seal in the juices, $14 burger

Hardees screwed up when they changed their patties and made them smaller and thinner. I miss the old thickburger they had.
