I not to long ago reformatted my drive to my computer. I freshly installed windows 7 to (legit version). I now have noticed that my usb 2.0 ports are now operating like usb 1.0 ports It takes for ever to transfer videos from my computer to my hard drive and sometimes it freezes. I have tried everything I know to get this fixed . Here are the things that I have tried.
updating drivers off of the asus website.
computer cm5570 essentio desktop.
update intel software chipset.
I checked the Bios usb configurations.
They are set for high speed and auto legacy.
I read somewhere a person was able to solve a similar problem by moving the usb 3 pin jumpers to 5v did that and still didnt work.
Installed windows 7 service pack 1.
It seems this problem has been going on for quite some while with microsoft older versions as well but I have not yet come across a solution.
I do have usb 2.0 it says so on the outside of computer casing near the ports and it also says ENHANCED usb controller on the device manager . Oh yeah I also tried to update all drivers through device manager and it says that I have the latest drive.
Has anyone gone through this before with updating your operating system or installing a new one . If so how did you fix it. I really need your help.
