...I'm striving to get her a few gifts for her birthday on the 16th of January. I don't know much about high end stores and products for women, so I came to SOL.

I'd like to get her a bracelet, and a really nice bottle of perfume. Issue is, I don't want to get her something she doesn't want. I'm not one of those people that thinks, 'Well, if I'm going to spend this kind of money, she should be happy with what I get her!" I thought about taking the gift card route, but that seems soo .... thoughtless. At the same time, she'd be able to purchase what SHE wants.

Any suggestions?

I would spend some time with her see if she mentions something that she wants or has been thinking about getting. You can also ask for a gift receipt when you make your purchases that way if she does decide she doesn't want it she can go exchange it and get something she does want.
