yeah so my skin is trippin

i have ezcema but i've had that under control since i was really little and i have really nice, smooth clear skin

BUT

i had a really traumatic experience last spring with bugs and i got bit up really badly around my feet/ankles and arms.

now my skin is hyperpigmenting more often, especially on my face...its crazy

i know when i go to the derm he is gonna suggest some expensive ass bleaching cream and ehhh i don't know if i want to go there

i need to get my skin back to normal...any suggestions?

oh yeah I've tried
-cocoa butter (regular user)
-aveeno
-ambi (that actually made it a lil worse)
-someone suggested shea butter and all that did was make my skin smooth...and my body damn near cook being that I was in Vegas over the summer lol

theres something we use home called whitfields ointment. dont know if you can get it in states or not

You can try a home remedy that has worked on alot of people.

You need

-baking soda
-water
-extra virgin olive oil
-a lemon(not lemon juice)

First find a container to use for storage. Then pour baking soda you can use 2 or 3 cups. Then add water until the baking soda becomes like paste,if it gets too watery add more baking soda. Add a tablespoon of EV olive oil. Then cut the lemon in half and either squeeze the juice yourself or use one of the juice extractors. Make sure you pick out the seeds from the lemon. Mix everything together. In order for it to work effectively, wet your face and apply it in a circular motion,do not apply too hard though. Make sure you get your nose, chin, and you can apply it on your neck as well. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse off. I rinse mine off when I am in the shower so that the water can run down my face. I do not use a rag because I do not want to irritate my face. So it would be good to do this once in the morning during your shower and once at night. When you are finished pat your face dry, I guarantee you your face will feel much softer and it will help fade the dark marks on your face(that is what the lemon is for). Let me know how it goes for you.Its all natural. ;)

Also, get a good mosturizer so your skin won't dry out with whatever you decide to use

Excellent advice from Sexy S and let me add a key thing... SUNSCREEN. Lemon juice (works great!) and all those lighteners make your skin sun sensitive and that's why some people it seems to make the spots darker because the skin is more sensitive and easier to burn...get a good sunscreen that wont clog your pores and that will help them fade faster or make sure your daily make-up has a sunscreen.

That's a tough break playa. I hate skin changes, when I was in nursing school I started breaking out on my forehead. The shit tripped me out because I've never had acne. Luckily once I graduated it went away.

I been fighting this shit for years. Unfortunately I have to work very hard to keep my skin and scalp from breaking out. Good luck to you, brother.

^ thanks for the advice...i'm a little hesitant about using the lemons being that citric acid activates my ezcema but I'm a rebel...i still eat oranges and grapefruits but not often.

what i will do is do a spot test around my ankle/foot area...if it's all good then i will do my face

i know someone who has a similar problem

she was told by her doctor to use self tanners (yes shes black and her doctor is black)

if u go to target...dove...caress...jergens all have some type of skin brightening shower gel...basiclly a light tanner

she uses that and it does make her a little darker but it does even out her tone

also...

u can also go to walgreens and get vitamin e extract...its a natural scar fader and ive heard from quite a few people it works

It doesn't matter the standard is guys so unless you post alot folks will assume you are a guy.

and ten percent of the viewers actually posting is quite the norm.

try the raw shea butter that comes in saran wrap at the african stores. that took away my dark spot mosquito bites. but i could never put that on my face.

face, u could try clinique derma white. it's fragrance free and allergy tested. most prestige whitening lines target melasma and dark spots, not whole face whitening like the european ones they sell in the african shops. stick with asian distributed whitening/brightening skincare because the ingredients are much better and very regulated by the government, specifically Japan.

and you can get the whitfield ointment in the US, they sell it here in brooklyn.

thanks for the info...yeah the raw shea butter is too heavy to put on ur face.

anyway, wasn't there just a report that some of the whitening creams from Asain countries were being pulled off the market because of dangerous ingredient levels? i remember something w/ rose in it and what not.

if i find the article i will post it

i didn't see it. stick with prestige asian whitening. asians go luxury for their face and use mass products on their body. kanebo, sk-II (johnson & johnson's whitening line), shiseido, etc.
