Another way is to pay based of the % of the total household income, i.e the household total income is $100K, the men makes $60K and the woman makes $40k, then the men should pay 60% of all the expenses...

Why not the man should spend 50% of his 60k and the woman spend 50% of her 40k? That sound even.

I say the man do what he trust his wife will appreciate and assist with.
My wife puts money in our pot for bills and savings and I do the same then we do our thing respectively with the restNot quite 50/50 but I really haven’t had any problems.
