Hundreds of treat lovers turned up to the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park on Tuesday to get a one-of-a-kind treat: Cronut Hole Concrete, the restaurant's frozen custard filled with Dominique Ansel's new cinnamon-sugar cronut holes.
“It’s the longest line in Shake Shack history,” said CEO Randy Garutti, eying the 350 bundled-up foodies waiting four hours after reading about the fund-raising event online.

“I’m on zero sleep, but I’ve always wanted to try the cronut,” said Helen Ahn, 32, as she waited for four hours in chilly temperatures. “I can’t believe I’m sitting in the freezing cold just to eat frozen custard. ... It’s all about the experience.”
And did the confection live up to expectations?
There was a limit of two Cronut Hole Concretes per customer.

“It was well worth the drive from Cleveland,” she claimed.
