The film is on point and the author is right on all his observations but because his name is Robert Rodriguez Western society won't listen to what he's saying.The world is passing the U.S.. This country cannot embrace the concept of perpetual change. We are still adhereing to a 200 yr old constitution, not to mention outdated business and social policies, while the rest of the world is evolving and adapting.

I don’t know how anyone slept on this one. If this doesn’t sum up the mentality of the “new” ugly American persona, then I don’t know what does. Americans don’t realize when the dollar shrinks in value, then out influence in the world shrinks accordingly. We become dependent on the output of other nations, like the residents in the ghetto are dependent on the merchants of those that don’t live in that community. So when those that say “I don’t care what other counties think” they are reinforcing some patriotic rant, they think is giving them access to some privileged class, they further paint themselves in an ideological corner, with no way out.
