How Good Was Ronnie Fields REALLY?

Watching some clips on youtube of him, and I remember all the hype he had. Dudes were talking about the most exciting player in Chicago was Ronnie Fields, and not Michael Jordan. I mean, that's cool...

...but how GOOD was he. I know a lot of athletic freaks, but none of them would last a day in the NBA.

Well I wouldn't say more people was talking about him over Mike, I mean come on. But dude was a beast with the hops! I though him and KG was gonna blow the league up, but he got in trouble and fuck it all up. Last time I saw his ass was like 7-8 years ago shopping at Best Buy using that overseas bball money. Who knows where he is at now.

They were saying he was more EXCITING. However, by the time Ronnie was known nationally, MJ was playing below the rim - so what were they comparing?

He had hops, but I'm asking how was his game.

I heard about that cat way in VA back in '95 and this was before I was on the internet at all. From what I heard, that nigga was incredible, some say even better than KG in high school.

I actually bought a couple of DVDs of him and Garnett at Farragut.6'3,sick athlete problem was that he was a 2 guard. Awesome leaper with good timing he averaged about 4 or 5 blocks a game and he had a sick fadeaway jumper. Last I heard he was averaging over 20 in the CBA.
