How do you deal with pregnant women?

I ran into a girl I used to be friends with back in Jr High. She invited me over to her house, introduced me to her husband. We all hung out a few more times after that. They were expecting their first baby at the time

I gave her my number after I left town. That was fine at first but now she's leaving me these creepy voice mails saying that she has to discuss something important. I call back and she's like "so uhhh.....how was your day?" Now she rings me at least twice a day at all hours. She leaves me messages saying that she loves me hopes I haven't forgotten her, is worried about the baby and so forth.

I know she's a little scared about being a first time mom, but calling every day? Talking about how she soaked the bed with breast milk? These are things you're supposed to go to your husband and girlfriends with, NOT a single guy you recently got reacquainted with.

My first instinct is to answer the phone and tell her that she's out of line. Then I realize that pregnant women aren't always at their most rational, especially in their 3rd trimester. What do you think ladies? Could this be a reasonable explanation for her behavior? Can i just kill time until her c-section and have things go back to normal or do I have to lay down the law?

Could be that her hubby is less than understanding or just that she feels better talking to you about it...life's weird that way.

Don't read into it so much. Could be she is merely looking for a sympathetic ear.

Peace.

I know what everyone's saying. It's just that it's not the first time a pregnant woman acted that way with me. Usually they all but stop calling once the baby is born so I assume it's just hormones. This is going a little bit farther than usual though.
