....my final comments on this rather boring subject. Please, hold the applause.
'What goes around, comes around'...or words to that effect. Remember when it was recently revealed that certain New York Yankees--some past, some current---were big 'roid users during the Bronx championship years? Well, the Red Sox Nation shouted in unison----"WE TOLD YOU SO". Revealed today and according to Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated David "Big Papi" Ortiz and Manny Rameriz names were released from the MLB infamous list containing approximately 104 names of "positive" steriod users. Its an "anonymous" list, that's not so "anonymous". In fact, the 'infamous' Jose Conseco has stated that a name that once occupied that 'list' was elevated to MBL Hall of Fame. But he wouldn't reveal the name. The 'list' probably has other Red Sox players named, but, as yet, not revealed. Stay tuned, if you really care.
Thus, following the Red Sox Nation logic (often questionable) as applied to Yankee usage, recent Red Sox championships are "tainted", as well. I wonder what Ortiz's teammates have to say. Especially the captain, catcher Jason Varitek. Or, pitcher John Smoltz. or, ---who else--former Red Sox, Curt Shilling.
