Im in the middle of writing my business plan. I am at the question of home office or commercial space. I have a technology company and I can get away with hiring a programmer out of state or not have in-house staff. I just wanted everyones imput on that. I am used to work from home and I hated it I was not motivated watched tv while working. I leaning toward commercial space but what do you think?

You pretty much said it yourself. "used to work from home and I hated it I was not motivated watched tv while working. I leaning toward commercial space" There's your answer. Write out the pros and cons. There's nothing like enjoying the luxury of working from home yet on the flip side a storefront makes you a bit more presentable and puts more of a push on you to get up and get it...hope that helps peace.

You'll need at least $1M in General Liability insurance - most companies will refuse to underwrite you at home... they can't tell the difference between home stuff and business. Additionally, it will be more difficult to establish some accounts with a home based business - some folks ignorant as it sounds will not take you as a serious business owner, that plus the distraction should be considered. However, DO NOT get an office if the finances are not in place and there is cash flow.

Good luck my friend.
