A new 527 group has been formed called the American Leadership Project that is currently raising money to pay for swift-boat style, anti-Obama attack adds in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas. I personally think this is not only not going to work, but it's going to basically kill what little credibility the Democratic party still has.

527 is a way to sidestep campaign finance laws. The 527 can take money she can't and say shit she can't. It's a dirty tactic that stinks of "Bush and Rove". She's doing dirt that John McCain won't have to and giving the Republicans the ONLY ammo they really could have.

She's basically showing she's willing to kill her own party to win this nomination. Remember, Bush was the first to get THIS dirty in a primary, see how he ended up. Anybody that is willing to go negative and willing to sacrifice so much this early is suspect.

She'll do like Bush and walk the tightrope. The way Rove manipulated his 527 groups was to use other media outlets. If the 527 was on point, the stories became talking points all through the media, if the 527 was not on point, the story gained no steam. This 527 is being formed by a former adviser. I think this may be why those people quit her campaign last week. There is no rule against the person that was running your campaign last week running the 527 this week.

I think this is going to backfire something UGLY on her though. If it works, she will get crushed by McCain because her credibility will be in the toilet, if Obama wins, the Republican talking points were created by a Democrat.
