Since, I did pay my $10, and since I really don't like half the mods on here *this goes for many on here, but quietly*. Why not have Moderator elections?

I'm actually tired of power hungry, pussy ass moderators starting shit on the board. Not to mention, if we retaliate, they push to ban us. I believe we have more than qualified posters, who can do the same *or even better* job of moderating than some of the current batch. If we're going to support this board, maybe its time for you to start supporting new leadership on this board.

BTW, if you a moderator, and you're offended, I might be talking about you.

I cosign this. Even though I won't have the right to vote, I feel those who paid should at least get a chance to set up the primaries and what not.
 
I agree with you we pay $10 (taxes) we should be able to elect who governs over us....but Im sure its going to be to much conspirity going on in people minds to respect he final decisons....I think only paying members should vote most def....

hell yea........... shit we pay our money so .... it's our board now & we should have a say in who gets those positions ......the bitchassness mods need to go.... if we ever had a bgolvention some of them would be the first to get snuffed out in the parking lot.............i bet 60% of them got they ass beat down on the reg in HS..... some of these pussies even got the never to tell you what & how you SHOULD say what YOU WANT too say!!!!! & suggest how offensive something you might say / feel is too them.. gtfohwtbs!!!!! if you dont like what the next man said ................... keep it movin!!! anyway... that a good idea & a logical one.......... & that would be a good reason NOT to reup....... we show our support by sending the fee/ donation...... our concerns & needs need to be addressed....... how you gonna charge for some shit & not give strong consideration to the people that make it happen.......

I really want to see if he responds in here. Otis, or D-TownRep would be a good idea. Leroy you are right about nothing getting past your eye, but that means you couldn't get rid of FuckYou everytime he chooses to open a new can of worms.:lol:
 
Nothing wrong with the mods we have. Now, If HNIC wants to get another one later, he may want to have an election who we feel is qualified. So Im thinking no one under a year can vote, superstars and vets get 2 votes :eek::D:yes::yes:

Here's my blueprint on how things should go:

1. Election should be held on the anniversary of this board becoming a fully donated board.

2. Only donated members can run/vote for any moderator.

3. The qualifications of running for moderator consist of posts made, years being active, and years they have donated money.

4. Term should be no more than 1 year.

5. They can serve no more than 4 years as moderator. *term limits*

6. To make sure there's no inactive mods, an elected moderator has to have a vice moderator to take up his/her slack.

7. If the occasion that the vice moderator is inactive, another elected moderator can take his/her position for the time being until a new election take place.
 
Damn, when 'donations' became 'mandatory', that should have been a clue that this is a dictatorship, not a democracy. :smh:

This is how you truly start something that would take this board back to the glory days, or even better.

To be a mod on the main board, would mean you being privy to certain information as to what goes on behind the scenes in regards to the operation/flow of the board. In other words, would any of you be down with knowing what Blunt is and allowing it to exist?

Would you be down with potentially figuring out who the sources of the FTP attacks are and not being allowed to act swiftly to crush the offending poster(s)?

30 day members who are acting a fool, and you can see the fuckry coming a mile away... would you be able to sit on your hands and allow them to continue their antics?

Borderline/suspect posters who continually push the limits with their homo posts? Do you think you'd be able to keep your finger off the ban button and not do anything?

I've come to realize that being a mod on the main board means doing what HNIC tells you to do. It has nothing to do with what's right and in the best interest of the overall user experience of the board.

I understand that fully.

I would say this, sometimes it's ok for SOME fuckery to happen. A part that makes this site fun is the fact that we can make fun of the fuckery. The part I'm not feeling is the part that some mods now think, since they have power, they can do the fuck they wanna do. This is the main problem on BGOL right now.

In fact, I would think it would be in HNIC's best interest to have this board be the best it can be. Hell, he is getting the money from us after all. If we leave, he has to go back to square one. The real question is this, do he really wanna go back to them days?

I agree. I didn't look at it like that. I don't beef with anyone on here, however I couldn't sit back and watch the shyt. I enjoy the entertainment for what it is, and never want to be on the other side of the show.

I mean doesn't it seem like back in the day, if someone needed to be dealt with, the fam did it? No one even acknowledged bullshit posters. It was like the class clown. When someone acted out, no attention was paid to them and they would quickly fall the fuck back in line.

No we have 30 day posters getting 2 pages of replies. Known offenders are allowed to continue on with their shit because they know the board will entertain their antics. :smh:
 
Mods have access to IP addresses. They have to be trustworthy. The mods right now are cool with me. And it should be up to the site OWNERS disgression
