So farmers are slave owners now?? Are people who work in the fields harvesting the fruits and vegetables all of us consume slaves?? It’s Louisiana, $11 dollars an hour is a good starting salary for someone new to the workforce. Yes the staffing company makes a couple bucks an hour off the farmer for getting them workers, they have to pay people to recruit workers. It’s called Capitalism, it’s what makes our country great. You can start as a blueberry picker, and work your way to CEO if that’s what you want and work hard for. For someone who preaches ‘everybody love everybody’, you sure cast a lot of judgement about people you have no clue about. Just because Cali pays fast food workers $20 per hour, doesn’t mean they are worth it. When I was first joining the workforce 25 years ago we made $4.25 per hour at Taco Bell. Then you realize you want more and you start climbing the ladder. You can’t post this and claim to sit it out. I hope you find some love for everyone in your heart.
