Heist's Highlights - 2009/2010 - The $10 Wrap-Up

Look as if I'm on my last 24 hours before the music stops and I have to put some more money in the jukebox. Undecided right now though.

We only got half the upgrades promised for the $10 given last year. The board doesn't hang-up, but 4.0 was terrible. After the rollback HNIC removed the tagging feature and made it so all vid posts automatically default to parse links?

Anyway, was culling through my posts from the last 11 months (We lost a month during the rollback which had some GREAT content) and thought I'd pull out some random highlights.

What started out as FuckYou trying to ock me within 3 pages morphed into what could easily be one of the greatest body count threads in BGOL history. If BGOL had a game of Deathmatch free for all, this would be it.

Somehow this thread turned into a Royal Rumble with members going at each other, pulling out surprise exposes, old "you fucked up threads", and airing out beefs from 4 years ago or more.

It seemed like every 2nd page a new member would step in thread, not know what they were getting into, open their mouth's, and then get shot down.

Shit was like walking an Aghani firefight with guys just blind firing at anyone who moved - and then other guys calling in air support and artillery to carpet bomb the whole place. By the 5th page, you sit there waiting for the next body to fall.

Well after the FuckYou attempted ock, I decided to have a little fun of my own. FuckYou decided it would be a good idea to post his car with his plates showing their plate number. Well, let's just say we all know the unwritten rule here on BGOL (hell the entire net for that matter) - Remain Anonymous and Protect Your True Identity At All Times.
Unfortunately, FY must have drank his bravado juice that morning and forgot this. Instead of pulling down the pictures he invited people to expose him. Challenge accepted! By day's end let's just say we had half his life and that of his family in the thread.

I of course seizing the opportunity to enact a little revenge for this ock and something else he did the year before when he falsely accused me of posting his daughter's pics which almost got me banned - dug much deeper. Muuuuch deeeper. I was subsequently banned (well deserved, no protest from me on this one). What can I say about this. Where do I start? I didn't have a hand in it directly - more like just the scribe recording the action. I still do not know how Charlie, who's given us so much pleasure, became the victim of an ock but it was utterly shameful and outright hilarious in the same breathe. And to ping her fiance but also his friends, and do it on Christmas Eve - that was some of the most cold hearted shit I've seen on BGOL since, well, ever!

As a matter of fact a majority of the stuff that gets posted on here is sourced from Syn.

It's better organized and easier to search as well. Screen caps must be posted, or the post is deleted. Preview images are encourage for photosets in the main thread.

They enabled tags (don't know why HNIC killed that feature), the mods are pretty diligent about deleting post or sections with dead links, and they have a dynamic quick search box that gives you results on the site as you type in the words so it's faster to search. Results on the fly.

Or if you do an Advanced search, there's no 30-second wait limit between searches.

My last day was over a month ago.

I can't search and no access to the Music, Movies, and Porn sub-forums. But other than that . It's not even the money for me. After that whole Da Don fiasco, I have had zero desire to do any sort of credit card transaction on this board. I haven't gotten myself a BS pre-paid debit to do online transactions with yet and I just haven't gotten a money order. And i'm in no rush…
